A few days ago Ekin arranged to meet Jerry Lam and his family to eat roast goose at a well known restaurant. The restaurant is often frequented by Hong Kong celebrities. After the meal Jerry's children were tired and they were carried home. Ekin however, after the meal leaned in the doorway of the restaurant. The hostess recognized Ekin and they had a polite joke together. She little knew that Ekin would shoot her an electric smile, and the more they talked the more it increased.

Karena Lam recently returned from France where she was studied at a performing arts class. Her first project on her return is to be once again paired with Ekin in the movie 《花菲花》. There is an anxiousness to be able to produce a new fresh feel, as Ekin is like an old friend. However the responsibility lies with the director, so really doesn't care that it is another romantic movie. Even though they will act as a pair of lovers they won't have any intimate scenes. It is unknown whether the script casts Ekin in the lead role in this way to avoid any jealousy by his girlfriend Yoyo and so he resists any intimate scenes with Karena. The film will start shooting in Japan.
Recently Ekin and Karena Lam have been filming a new movie 《花菲花》, The movie is directed by the well known playwright Ivy Ho. Yesterday they filmed a scene in a car. The film crew mounted a camera on the front of the car. Everything was prepared. When they started to film the scene Ekin caused the car to slide backwards frightening his fellow actors who were the passengers. Ekin hastily apologized.
It has been some time since Ekin and Karena have worked together. It is also the first romantic comedy from the director, whose usual work is a little different and comparatively serious. The costumes are elegant and Ekin wears gold framed spectacles. Makes him look even wiser with age. In this scene Ekin was the driver and the other actors were passengers. While the car was being prepared the other actors were at the side. Karena, who has just returned from an acting course, didn't seem to be doing well with day and night filming and looked a little sluggish. However they started to chat while they waited.
Due to this being the director's first , sometimes conferred with Ekin and Felix Lok before shooting the scene. When everything was prepared simply shoot the scene, The scene open with them all getting into the car. Ekin as the driver and Felix Lok next to him. Once everyone is in the car the scene of the car driving began. Ekin had a very straight face, believed driving that car was simple action and not difficult for him but he overlooked putting it into drive causing the car to slide backwards, Fortunately Ekin's mistake didn't affect the filming of the scene, which eventually was smoothly accomplished.
Of course this isn't the first time Ekin and Karena have collaborated, their previous films include Floating Landscape, Heroic Duo and It Had To Be You. Karena had some anxiety working with Ekin again as she worried that they wouldn't be able to give a fresh feel. But with The director's playwright background, it is different, so the two merely support one another. Even though they are cast as lovers, there are no hot scenes.
Recently Ekin without Yoyo but with Shan Shan and some of his friends went to enjoy a New Year's Eve Dinner. The didn't leave until 11pm. Ekin's good friend Jerry and his wife were the first to leave. A half hour later Ekin, Shan Shan and six of their friends leisurely depearted. Because of the recent very cold temperatures Shan Shan almost immediately fished a scarf out of her bag, ahe seemend very awkward puting it on.
Earlier Ekin had given a car to Yoyo. After thsi night out he took the trouble to purchase food to take home for Yoyo. As he was leaving with his purchases he was talking on the phone.
3 weekly magazine recently had photographs of Ekin and Yoyo strolling together through the flower market. They were buying flowers for the up coming Chinese New Year holiday . They were both dressed warmly because of the recent cold weather. However even though they are lovers they didn't hold hands as they selected peach blossoms for good luck. Yoyo's hands were tucked inside her sleeves to keep her hands warm. When they discovered reporters there they both had a tacit understanding to leave the store and quickly evaded the reporters.
