Ekin and Yoyo's love affair began through playing badminton and has developed smoothly. Since parting from Gigi Leung after a seven years, Ekin has moved on and begun a new relationship. Ekin and Yoyo have similar interests and in addition she gets along with both Ekin's family members and his close friends. These two things have expedited their developing relationship.

Yesterday Ekin and Yoyo took a bike ride together through a mountainous and rugged area, Ekin brought up the rear and with attentiveness and care protected his girlfriend, especially n the steep parts. Ekin wore a gray shirt and shorts and Yoyo was dressed similarly rode from Tso Wo Hang towards Sai Kung harbor, where they took a rest and went to the bathroom before returning to Ekin's Marina Cove residence. They were out approximately two hours, in some parts they got off their bikes and pushed as the path was steep and narrow.

Yoyo and Ekin both recently accepted radio interviews. Yoyo is Christian and she was asked whether Ekin had the same beliefs. She said that of course she wanted this, however, some people after they were married were able to influence their partner or change. Ekin though is actually Buddhist, but he believes both these of religions persuade people to be good natured.

Recently You Tube Website aired the Huo Yuan Jia theme and the series trailer. This not only caused exposure of Ekin and Jordan's roles in the drama, but also shows a great deal of Ekin's kung fu scenes. This seems to be an irregular broadcast. However the director indicated that it relates to a short piece he had already given to reporters to publish. He wasn't worried by the streaming of the piece on the internet as he felt it would generate interest in the drama, and help with its publicity.

Ekin has liked Gundam since middle school, and has always admired their design. Canon is sponsoring a Gundam photography contest together with Bandai the toy's manufacturer. Bandai has invited Ekin to judge the photographs taken, and also to personally design a new Gundam. Ekin's own Gundam design will be unveiled in August, when he presents the prizes to the winners of the photography competition. Last year reporters followed Yoyo and her former boyfriend Michael to Shau Kei Wan Street East to a noodle restaurant. This year she brought her current boyfriend Ekin to the same place to eat. Neither of them wanted anything to do with the reporters who were following, and in fact Ekin in order to protect Yoyo went so far as to try to bump them with his car, at the same time taking out his own camera to take pictures of them.

They arrived in Ekin's Range Rover which he parked on the side of the street, then they simply went into the restaurant. They sat in a corner to eat and chat together, however to avoid being overheard their voices were very low. They stayed only about 15 minutes to eat and then they left. Yoyo jumped into the passenger seat of Ekin's car and he drove her to her Fortress Hill residence. Yoyo once she saw the reporters had a very wooden expression, Ekin's face also had a dark expression. He whipped out his camera and took a photograph of them , then stomped on the gas and entered Yoyo's residence compound.

Less than 5 minutes later Ekin left Yoyo's residence compound by himself. This time he was ready and filmed the reporters while he was driving. While he did this he was not really looking at the road and of course this was quite dangerous. Finally to escape the reporters he sped through as the the light turned red at a busy intersection.

Yoyo's former boyfriend Michael has been very vocal in certain weekly publications, accusing Yoyo of dumping him for Ekin when their wedding was being planned. Facing this critism both Yoyo and Ekin have not comprehended the reason. On the contrary their behavior each day quietly shows their feelings for each other.
