Ekin recently has been busy filming the television drama 霍元甲. Ekin and Jordan have been back in Beijing filming. The time period of filming is relatively long. In addition in the outskirts where they are filming the facilities are fairly simple and crude. Once night falls the temperature falls below zero so both of them complain constantly.

Last week Ekin quietly returned to Hong Kong to rest. However, he did not see his girlfriend Yoyo Mung. Ekin and Yoyo have been dating only a short time, however because both are so busy with work, for a long time he hasn't seen her. In fact he met his mother to go and buy groceries and with his father went to look at new cars. As would be expected of a good son he spends his time with his parents.

Wearing a knit hat Ekin drove his more than $1mill Range Rover and was first seen in Kowloon on the street and then with his father went into a Mini Cooper dealer to look at new cars. A silver blue car caught Ekin's eye. He chatted with the salesman about the car. His father left and went back to Ekin's car while Ekin talked longer and then took the catalogue after about half an hour. Only then he had a smile on his face. Reporters of course speculate that he is considering buying the car as a gift for Yoyo, of course with no evidence. Then a little later see his mother with shopping returning, because she couldn't at first see the car Ekin had to get out and wave to her to indicate where they were. Once she was in the car Ekin drove to return home. It's no wonder that ekin's parents often smile to have such a son.

Last year Ekin parted company with Gigi Leung. in recent months because Ekin played badminton with Yoyo Mung there has been a love spark. Regarding their feelings neither have denied it. Not long after these feelings surfaces it was Ekin's birthday. Yoyo personally took the time to make him a cake.

The filming for 霍元甲 has covered a number of locations Hukuo Waterfall on the Yellow River, Beijing, The Great Wall, Shanghai and now the desert. In the desert the wind is strong and the blown sand is very painful. however this didn't stop Ekin and Jordan from having fun. In fact this is not Ekin's first time in the desert. He was here before to film a Canon commercial. However the weather then was different. This time the wind is cold, however Ekin gives everyone the impression he is having fun. However during the actual filming, because the wind was so strong, a great deal of care had to be taken.

If you are familiar with the story of Hua Yuan Jia you know what befell him. For the sake of the National Pride of China day and night he worked hard to win on in the fighting ring. but the Japanese plotted to use a deadly poison. This ending is miserable and sad yet united a generation of his disciples to his life's ambition, moral integrity, great heroism. The ending causes his life to be in the form of a big question mark., touching your heart and soul.

Hua Yuan Jia's big battle with the Japanese is of course the biggest development in the drama, and this scene can be seen as the most important in the whole drama. However before filming this scene Ekin was clearly unwell. In addition his work had been continuously exhausting. The day of filming this scene Ekin was even more sick, he had a high fever that wouldn't go down, the whole time he was miserable and distressed. However for the sake of the filming, Ekin in spite of his own discomfort insisted to work on the filming. Ekin in the end, relied on his professionalism to make the effort. He insisted to continue, and in addition was able to remarkably maintain the scene's appearance. The key scene accomplished have a heroic Hua Yuan Jia style. However a few times Ekin was dangerously near to fainting, Equally grinding teeth comfort everyone. When the the filming was over the film staff not only respect and admire him but also are very fond of him.

It's OK, Ekin soon felt better, now he is already back to normal. Now he is once again full of life and jumping around. Everybody felt much relieved.

After more than 3 months of filming 《霍元甲》 the drama is finalized. Yesterday in Shanghai the picture was finalized. The drama group's spokes person divulged that the plan was at the end of May, beginning of June will be the audience's first look, then after that look at producing the TV broadcast. Currently working on Chen Zhen's section. Jordan is willing to perform Chen Zhen and Ekin would be a guest performer in that.

The experience of the filming was discussed. The drama's spokes person said that both Jordan and Ekin had fun in the desert. Jordan just went running and fell down. Ekin though enjoyed to lie down in the desert and slept 3 hours in spite of the bitter cold. So the second day he caught cold. He also said that Ekin at the Yellow River cliff and on the Great Wall steep hill places personally accomplished all the action. Jordan also in many scenes used a real knife to fight with his opponents. After the filming they were both sustained injuries and were very tired.

Reporters asked the drama group if Ekin had returned to Hong Kong to spend Valentines day and the New Year festival with his girlfriend Yoyo Mung. They said both Ekin and Jordan while filming didn't have anyone come and visit them, and especially Ekin's girlfriend was seldom seen. At the end of last year Ekin returned home and instructed his mother to buy groceries, so he could prepare to return home and cook for for her. Now Ekin's heroic main work is to wait for his hair to grow longer.

Yesterday afternoon Ekin attended the ceremony for I.T most honored award for promotion 2006. Ekin continuously for 3 years has won the male spokes person prize. Reporters wanted to know whether he will spend the first Valentines Day with Yoyo. Ekin laughed and said. " What first year? I play badminton one year, not need to celebrate that. Perhaps these two days will return Shanghai to continue to film Huo Yuan Jia." Ekin indicated that he had not received a gift from Yoyo, because everyone is working on roles. They asked if he had bought a gift. He indicated that he had only just returned home and had only had only time to sleep and wake up.

Ekin only just returned home last night he didn't know how long he would stay. The mainland weather has been very cold, but Ekin mentioned that he had specially come home to attend this function and to see the doctor. Ekin said that the day before he had filmed a scene at Yang Cheng Lake and he had to fall in the water. Even though he was only in the water one minute, it really was freezing. Fortunately his old friend Jordan wanted to keep him company and fall in the water too. However because the role requires that he not know how to swim but Jordan's is that he can swim. So Ekin had to almost drown, but he want to float above the water when call out. Jordan will one hand fall into water. The result he swallow several mouthfuls of lake water, so he wanted to see the doctor to get checked out. Reporters said they had heard that there were crabs and animals in the lake. But Ekin said that he only saw a high degree of pure clear water. From start to finish has been more than three months not at home. The reporters again pursued him concerning Valentines Day plans and if he would stay to spend time with Yoyo. Ekin said not necessarily because perhaps today or tomorrow he will rush back to Shanghai to continue work. He also mentioned that now he wanted to continue to expand the mainland market.

Hua Yuan Jia is set in the Qing Dynasty's last years when many foreign forces were in China. The director arranged the many battle scenes to take place. Both Ekin and Jordan personally did the action scenes. As a consequence after filming was complete they both showed marks of injury. Ekin said that once filming was complete he would be returning to Hong Kong and he hoped to spend some time with his current girlfriend Yoyo Mung over the New Year Holiday. In passing he also mentioned that he waits for his hair to grow longer so he can join a new drama. Ekin will also join a WWF activity to protect whales.

Ekin's latest movie The Forest of Death directed by Peng Fa will premiere March 22, 2007. Shu Qi and Rain Li also star.

The story centers around a Japanese forest where many people have committed suicide and disappeared. A criminal abducts the Prime Ministers daughter, takes her into the forest were he rapes and murders her. However the police cannot produce enough evidence to convict him. Shu Hai, Ekin's character has written his doctorate on the premise that trees are indeed sentient beings. He believes that they have thoughts and may even have language. Mei Shu played by Rain Li is Ekin's girlfriend. She is the host of a TV program which has very high ratings.

Xia Song played by Shu Qi takes over the case hoping to have a break through to convict the murderer. Shu Hai obtains permission to conduct experiments in the forest as he is convinced that the trees are the only witnesses to the murder and he wants to try to extract their testimony. His girlfriend is not about to let this big news get away from her and so all of them setoff to enter the forest...

Will Ekin return to TVB now that Hua Yuan Jia has finished filming? Reporters are speculating that Ekin might be considering returning to TVB. It seems that TVB consider Always Ready to be one of their top dramas of 2005. The series is currently being shown again in Hong Kong and Bowie Lam and Shirley Yeung have been promoting the drama again. Ekin however has been conspicuous by his absence at these recent promotions. Bowie Lam was asked whether he considered Ekin a threat to his TVB big brother status, to which he just narrowed his eyes and said it wouldn't affect him whether Ekin decided to return or not, but he didn't know anything about TVB Company affairs.

Reporters have been trying to get information out of Shan Shan, but she will not let them talk to Ekin. Since Ekin left TVB Shan Shan helped him to make the transition to movies and the consequent upgrade in his stardom. Because he works in so many places he is not able to care for his parents often and that makes him feel bad. Probably rarely seeing Gigi was one of the reasons they finally realized that there was no relationship. Now he is seeing TVB actress Yoyo Mung. He doesn't like to be so far away from home as his latest drama Hua Yuan Jia has caused, even though he has had his good friend Jordan for company. Currently there is no information on what Ekin will be doing next, however there are all kinds of indicators that he might consider TVB.
