Last night Ekin, Jerry and Stephanie Che recorded a christmas song. It has been several years since Ekin has produced an album, He said being a singer was difficult work. He said that in the future would be new songs but he would not necessarily produce an album. He may consider placing on the internet for fans to download. He said if produce an album and able to start to sing in performance then will make a good profit, otherwise have to be lucky. Ekin straightforwardly said that publicity was comparatively troublesome. He would rather meet less people. He added that on the mainland more sponsors disliked Hong Kong actors, the negative news was too much. Many of them seek Taiwanese singers to perform. Although Ekin doesn't have a plan to produce an album, he recently started to film 《忍者》so he is exercising a fit physical body. He was asked if because of《忍者》was busy coming and going, so could use a bicycle to train his physical power? He said no he wouldn't, because there were too many citizens who report material. He was asked how he was going to spend the Christmas holidays. He said that originally he was supposed to go to Japan to film, but it's yes then no, so he spends time boating and running.
Ekin, as the WWEF' ocean ambassador, attended a WWF activity at a Hong Kong Middle School. He ate a seafood meal with the middle school students. He also explained which seafood should eat and which seafood shouldn't eat so as to safeguard the earths ocean organisms. He said it was important to chose seafood that was sustainable rather than species which were on the verge of extinction. Ekin said that when he eats Japanese dishes he will also tell the chef these things, and only eat seafood that is renewable. He added that in the past seafood was very expensive but now school students could enjoy fresh seafood for lunch.
Ekin also indicated that during Christmas he will be going to Japan to film, but the start date has been delayed so he doesn't know exactly when yet, so right now he is taking a rest. The new Stormriders movie will possibly start filming around March next year but only then can the actual date to start be fixed. Reporters asked about Yoyo's desire for a white Christmas. Ekin jokes and said, "Could wear white clothes then it will be a white Christmas, however, the whole world is warming, so lately haven't seen a white Christmas."
Reporters also asked him about t the reports that Yoyo was pretending to be sick and not working, Ekin refused to comment, but he did say that this was merely a headline and was over exaggerated, when actors have 5 or 6 years impressive work, if not good the next time then by others they are criticized.

Ekin attended an event as neighborhood ambassador He indicated that he had been an ambassador for this organization for three years. The organization helped not only the elderly but also people of limited intelligence due to mental problems. The event was to set up a fund to help people with mental disorders to study. The fund would help them to cultivate advanced studies and also to train them. Ekin feels that this is a very significant cause. Ekin was asked in what areas he thought he needed to train. He said doesn't matter whether it is learning mandarin or acting, always need advanced studies. He was asked whether he would set up a personal fund, but Ekin said that temporarily he hadn't considered it.
Ekin and Jordan together with other leading cast members and Director Guan Jin Peng met with reporters in Beijing today, to publicize the broadcast of Huo Yuan Jia on Beijing's BTV4 beginning on December 20,2007. Guan Jin Peng explained that the new edition adds much more of the feelings between the characters than the 1983 version did. He added that the story was also more intact. The audiences that saw the 1983 version will of course remember it. Guan Peng said that back then many of the camera shots were in Hong Kong which meant that that the outside views were very limited. For this edition they selected the Yellow River,and the Great Wall to use as background scenery. He wanted to use it to show atmosphere and momentum to integrate with the Huo Yuan Jia character.
Ekin and Jordan rose to fame as life and death brothers in the Young and Dangerous Series. This is the first time they have collaborated on a TV series. They spoke of the 10 year later collaboration. Ekin said that Jordan compared with 10 years previously had changed a lot. When filming a scene will think very much and also will give this role very many suggestions.
The Series has already been broadcast in Guangdong and Guanxi Province the series enjoyed the highest ratings. However, at the same time it sparked some controversy. There was critisism of the Chen Zhen character being too impulsive and seeking revenge. The Director gave Chen Zhen a story. He said that obviously will have some people who don't accept the story, Also the relationship between Huo Yuan Jia's wife and Zhao Qian Nan is emotional. Most people accept Ekin as Huo Yuan Jia. Ekin said he was very happy that the audiences accepted him to play this character. He said he had thought very much before taking this role. he watched the older version, and all the films that have been made. He also made a special trip to visit Huo Yuan Jia's descendants.
Ekin attended a Gundam Exhibition event at a local mall. He said that currently he has not yet bought a gift for his girlfriend Yoyo, but there is still a week left before Christmas. He did say that originally he was supposed to be in Japan filming, however another of the actors is injured and so the filming is delayed. Speaking about Stephen Fung's breakup with Karen Mok, Ekin said that is was fate, and so have to earnestly cherish the times when you are together.
Ekin and Louis Koo also went to see a stage drama together.
