It had been a long time since Ekin had traveled to Taiwan. He was asked how he managed to maintain his youthful appearance. Ekin laughed and said that besides enjoying sports, very many things he doesn't want too much, he celebrates the simple life, so can maintain eternal youth.

Arriving in Taiwan, breathing the fresh air, Ekin said that Taiwan was really very good, and compared to the last time he was there is seems to have advanced a lot. He most wanted to visit the top Taiwanese book store, eat Taiwanese specialities and likes to play electronic games. In the past he has liked to sweep the shopping malls to collect the goods. Then he heard they were already opened exchanges, that was such a pity, resembles neighbor's older brother the same, also didn't have trademark goods.

Likely is after I finish middle school, and then I enter this business, I felt that mostly for others I want to be composed and cheery, so I am very easily contented. I had a period of time when I also bought a sports car and a luxury mansion, but then I very quickly sold them. Even confronting the entertainment circles ups and downs, Ekin doesn't think his own life's attitude has changed, the most difficult is the expense of when the career is at a high peak, still I am consistently a low key level, I am not a giant star.

I think to observe thoughts is very important. My thoughts influence me greatly. He ususally will go to buy groceries himself, so has a life very much free from anxiety. He has also had the same hairdresser John, for 15 years. Friends are also very important, their individual characters are very straightforward and honest, allow me to always bare what is in my heart.

Maybe life slows down, but Ekin can still enjoy his own space. Everybody said when I was at the top, I wasn't happy because I had no space, not able to find my place in life, now in my life I need not be too anxious, work I don't regard as too much, also I can do the things Ilike to do, and also I have a little more wisdom.

Between Maggie and Gigi, Ekin stayed with each 7 years, he was embarrassed but said that fate was fate. Asked if he wanted to get married, he said that probably would someday. He said that although he liked children to have one of your own was a lot of pressure, and compare parents, this kind of environment is not health. As for the kind of life he longs for, it is free and unconstrained, He wants to travel the world, he can't help but feel that lifting his head in Hong Kong he can't see the sky, so Ihope can be in a distant place and see different surroundings. Once married and have a child hw would yearn to be elsewhere, for example when he was in Austrailia, again move to New Zealand stay a while. this inded seems to be a simple life.

Since Ekin returned to being single, the gossip has been unceasing. First the gossip concerned Niki, but recently he has been seen in the company of 31 year old Yoyo (蒙嘉慧). As the two of them have a common interest in sports it has produced a love spark between the two. In fact it would seem that they have been in each other's company for two weeks already. There were pictures taken as they exited a badminton court. They seemed to be happy in each other's company, besides playing badminton and going ice skating, moreover the friendship has developed to include an overnight at Ekin's home. Ekin and Yoyo have never worked together, in either a drama or movie. Regarding this Ekin's manager Lam Shan Shan dropped the hint that the fact that the two seem to be partners should not be wondered at. Shan Shan indicated, that since the secret photographs that were taken of Ekin, he felt the need to make a telephone call to tell her about this matter. That Ekin can fall in love is also normal, and with any female partner he is unlikely to feel strange. Smiling she said, " Ekin told me in case there were secret photographs, but he didn't confirm whether in fact they were partners, so I will depend on all the reporters to go and confirm whether this is true or false." Shan Shan added that Ekin was currently busy filming an advertisement, and he doesn't have a partner because his career comes first.

Ekin and Yoyo were introduced to each other by LokYi because they both enjoy sports. However that he said that although he introduced then whether they became partners or not was not his concern. In fact Ekin and Yoyo often simultaneously play badminton. Reporters asked Yoyo about this, she said that friends had told her that her playing badminton had caused photographs. Reporters pressed her on her feelings, Yoyo then had a huge smile looking pleased and complacently neither admitted not denied the gossip, only refused to reply. The reporters pushed on asking whether she would continue to play badminton with Ekin. She however avoided mentioning Ekin and said she would play badminton, because a group of people were a team, and so will get together to play. She also likes to play volleyball and basketball.

During the last few days Ekin has been seen in the company of Yoyo Mong. The media has been relentless in pursuing them. Yesterday the media caught up with them at a gas station. Ekin told them to go ahead and take their pictures but then not to follow them because they were going to dinner.

Nevertheless, it seems to be generally acknowledged that Ekin and Yoyo have new feelings for each other. Earlier today Ekin's good friend Jerry Lam said that he was very happy for Ekin, however he said that though Ekin was a very close mouthed person, you can see the love in the corners of his mouth. Jerry joked and said his friend had become Cheng Contains Love in appearance.

Ekin's other good friend Jordan Chan said he had been surprised when he heard the news. He added that he was quite jealous. He said he had not called Ekin, he only learned of the news from the newspaper. Reporters wanted to know if Jordan was happy for Ekin. Jordan said that if Ekin got married he would be happy, if he himself found love he would be happy. He didn't think Ekin would so quickly find another half, because he was only a little handsome.

Earlier there were many rumors linking Ekin and Niki. Regarding this recent love affair with Yoyo. Niki said that she was simply happy. Reporters asked her whether she had any sour feelings. Niki denied that she had any such feelings, that she and Ekin only ever had normal friends types of feelings.

Yesterday was the wake of Beauty Kitchen's producer 钱国伟's mother, who died earlier. Last evening 钱国伟's good friends, including Ekin, Lai Lokyi, Ekin's first girlfriend 梁芷珊, Yoyo, Jerry Lam and his wife, Amigo Choi, and Natalie Tong appeared to make the gold and silver papers for today's funeral. Reporters were most interested to see that Yoyo, who is rumored to be having a relationship with Ekin, also appeared. They tried to speak with her but she purposefully entered the wake without speaking to them. Ekin sat beside Lokyi on one side and turned to see 梁芷珊 on the other. Yoyo sat on the same row, but did not sit next to Ekin. Yoyo left alone at about 8 pm. Ekin and Lokyi left much later.

Recently there has been a great noise concerning whether Ekin and Yoyo are lovers. Yoyo has had a rebellious attitude to reporters inquiring after details. She neither admitted not denied their suppositions. A happy partner will usually not avoid mentioning, however Yoyo has adopted a noncommittal attitude to deal with the gossip, causing reporters to feel that she is protecting her relationship with Ekin. Of course it is possible that this relationship is still in the early stages and neither side is totally sure of the other. Ekin has been in the entertainment industry for many years, this the latest of many times he has been linked by gossip to someone. First 黎芷珊, then Maggie Sui, Gigi, Niki and now Yoyo. Singtao went out into the street to ask readers what they thought. The paper asked 50 people. 72% thought that Ekin and Yoyo already started a relationship. The paper went on to ask which girl friend they thought was most compatible with Ekin. Some felt he should have stayed with Gigi, while others felt Niki might be a good match. However many fans have blessed Ekin's association with Yoyo.

Earlier in the day, Lokyi and Natalie Tong accepted a radio interview to publicize the new TVB drama. Lokyi was asked about Ekin and Yoyo, but he deferred to Natalie to answer. Natalie said that when they play badminton all the same people are invited, and the group includes both Ekin and Yoyo.

Gigi a few days ago was in New York for a Marc Jacobs event. She said that if the rumors concerning Ekin and Yoyo were true she gave them her blessing. She said she would not send Ekin an SMS, frankly, he reads the newspapers so he will know what I said.

Over the past few days, each time Yoyo has appeared in public she has been interrogated by the press regarding the rumors that she is dating Ekin. She has kept quiet and given no answer. Yesterday Ekin attended an event for the first time since the rumors began. He also was closed mouthed, as the reporters made detailed enquiries his only reply was a glittery smile.

Ekin attended the "Protect Liver Angel" opening ceremony as the Generations Without Hepatitis ambassador. Doctors and sufferers from the disease, described hepatitis symptoms, prevention and cures. Ekin then brought small children dressed as angels to portray the hepatis prevention slogan. He called on everyone to pay attention to hepatitis B.

Ekin naturally takes health very seriously, every year certainly will have a periodic blood test, further he reminded his parents to every year have a physical examination, and purchase medical insurance.

Reporters pressed concerning Ekin's recent badminton games, asking whether this was for health. The reporters asked him directly whether he and Yoyo were partners. He actually smiled, "I have read this report, to make a long story short, two words, " develop" I am developing badminton." He added that they liked to play doubles matches, because at his age he no longer has enough stamina, and if he plays singles he could easily get injured. Reporters wanted to know if the fact that Yoyo played so often was because Lai Lokyi was acting as a go between. Ekin said Lokyi was not concerned with this, they were on the same doubles badminton team. He refused to talk about whether he drove Yoyo home, he also had no comment regarding Gigi's sending of blessings to them both. He only repeated the two words "develop" and offered nothing more saying only they played badminton for entertainment.

Later in the day Ekin also attended an event to raise funds for Leukemia. This is another health organization Ekin has always supported.

Yesterday morning Ekin set out for Tokyo to attend Madonna's concert. Other celebrities also went including Gigi. Ekin left Hong Kong earlier to avoid seeing Gigi, and traveled on a different airline. During July when Ekin was filming in Thailand, Gigi and her mother appeared at the same place, however at that time they did not encounter one another. Last night Gigi and Ekin both had tickets for the same concert. However, even though Ekin's flight was late and so arrived in Tokyo before Gigi, but they did bump into one another in Tokyo airport. Ekin courteously and politely gave her an ordinary greeting, but said nothing more. Both of them of course had months ago separately planned to attend the concert, as tickets sold out in June.

Yoyo had to suffer reporters questions. She was asked why she wasn't going, she said she didn't have time, she was busy filming a TVB drama. When asked about Ekin and Gigi in Tokyo at the same time she refused to answer.

Ekin is sporting a new hairstyle. While in Japan he cut his hair and shaved the sides. Shan Shan described it as a punk hairstyle. Ekin is about to star in a mainland drama, about a historical character and the role requires a shaved head. Ekin has cut his hair short and shaved the sides, however he is still considering whether he will actually shave his head for the role.

Ekin traveled to Japan with Shan Shan, Jerry and his wife Lily, Ekin's assistant and some other friends. Because Ekin and Jerry have often worked for Shiseido in Japan, their Shiseido friends together with Shan Shan arranged a surprise birthday party for Jerry, Lily and Ekin, whose birthdays are all within a week of each other. Their Shiseido friends provided a cake and champagne and everyone wished them long life and happiness.

Yesterday Ekin was a special guest onChan Chi Wan's show.

For Ekin's birthday, which is next week October 4th, to celebrate Chi Wan had a cake for him. For a birthday present Ekin was given a yoyo, two badminton racquets and a mechanical person. Chi Wan asked him which gift he liked best, Ekin actually selected the mechanical person not the yoyo. Chi Wan impolitely asked why he didn't like Yoyo. Ekin was good natured but embarrassed, and said the yoyo was also OK.

Back in 1999 there was a lot of media attention when Gigi left Ekin's home in the early morning after staying the night on Ekin's birthday. Chi Wan to know if this birthday was very special. Ekin predicted that this birthday would attract a lot of media attention, and he would be followed. When asked how he would celebrate he said that the celebrations would include his manager Shan Shan and his good friends. He wouldn't discuss whether Yoyo would be included.

Ekin accepted interviews, he was immediately surrounded by reporters wanting to know his opinion about Gigi and her French boyfriend. Ekin immediately said he hadn't seen a newspaper so he wouldn't reply. Then he was asked about the reports that Yoyo had been seen leaving his home with wet hair. Regarding this Ekin also made no reply.
