Ekin began filming a movie directed by Lawrence Ah Mon a few days ago. The star line up included Tony Leung Ka Fai, Sean Lau, Grasshopper and new mainland actress Huo Si Yan.

Next week "Set out World" will broadcast Ekin's presided over Thailand episode. Ekin indicated that he was nervous about the broadcast, but at the same time extremely happy to have had the chance to see the area's of thailand still recovering from 2004's tsunami. He said that it has made him even more treasure his family and friends.

During the performance Ekin toured the disaster area, and spent time with local fisherman who had lost their livelihoods due to he disaster. The tsunami destroyed many fishing boats, Ekin helped them with some of the rebuilding helping to caulk the planks, in addition he accompanied some of the fisherman into the ocean to catch fish. Ekin said that the situation and the way that these fishermen rely on friends to help each other, caused him to remember the times when his own career was at a low ebb, he too relied on friends and family. Ekin paid a visit to the area's oldest fishing village. to see how people were coping with loss of life, wealth and livelihood.

Since the tsunami the weather has changed, the wind is much stronger and often they cannot go out to catch fish. So Ekin was able to spend time with them sitting and talking in the shade. Ekin said that this was a comfortable way to pas the time, but the fisherman really didn't want to be sitting passing time, because if they couldn't go out to fish then they couldn't receive any income. The fisherman explained that even though some boats were mended, when they brought a fish harvest back they would share the dollars with their brothers. This caused Ekin to be very moved. He wanted to help and went out onto a fishing boat. It only needs two people to fish, one to drive the bat and one to cast the nets, Ekin said he had believed it was simple, but in fact it was not easy.

Ekin also went to the boat dock where he met an American engineering consultant. He said that he has sold his American business to come here and build a boat dock. people from many regions have come to work building fishing boats. Ekin immediately asked if he could help.

Although in past years Ekin has been charged that his career has slipped and fallen, this however has caused Ekin to know from his own experience. Ekin said that despite this he has been happy even though his work capacity reduced. At that time he would return home and care for a tree. As a result he stopped feeling down. He clearly feels that being optimistic or pessimistic is a person's own choice.

BMA is about to start new movies. Ruan Shi Sheng and Peng Huo Xiang will direct 3 separate movies. Ekin and Nikki will both have parts in the movies. Ekin and Nikki both attended a BMA press conference and banquet. When Ekin was asked about the movies he joked that he was just there for the food. He did divulge that besides the movies, the company has arranged for each BMA artist to have a web site and also to have the opportunity to produce a book. Ekin said that a major focus of his book would be to talk about the ideas and responsibility of Crisis, among this he would also discuss his life. Reporters wanted to know whether he would discuss his career and feelings. Ekin didn't directly reply he only directed them to watch "Set Out World" and then they would know. He said that now he couldn't even remember what he had said at that time.

This year Ekin is planning to compile his own direct himself in a movie. He said the plot would revolve around cartoon characters. He honestly said that he hoped that step by step he could realize this desire, however he didn't have enough money to make a movie so it is unlikely that he could use his own resources.

Reporters asked him if he was really gifted to be able to produce a book and a movie. Ekin laughed and said " No, he just wanted to be able to accomplish his goals. Reporters pressed him on what goals. He said that many of his goals were big and so hard to achieve. He talked of his desire to be a representative for the Sai Kung area. His goal would be to try to improve the area's environment. Reporters asked if he wanted to be in politics. Ekin smiled and said it was very hard to explain, and he still hadn't looked into it.

Nikki was asked about her thoughts now Ekin was once again single. Had she considered? Nikki immediately said she hadn't and wouldn't dare.

Last night Ekin together with many of the other presenters of Set Out World attended a dinner hosted by TVB. TVB wanted to thank the presenters and the film staff for the success of the program. The program success has made them want to add more episodes. They want to include Israel and Russia to compare with Asia. TVB plan to release a DVD of the series, but because they want to add more countries to start a second series, they have decided to postpone the book and DVD of the first series. The banquet lasted for 2 hours from approximately 8pm - !0 pm. Reporters saw Ekin and Michelle sitting together drinking wine.
