Since Ekin and Gigi parted company Ekin's old girlfriend Maggie Sui has had nothing to say on the situation. But her victory smile says everything. Recently Maggie has attended various events , each time she has a glittery smile. Ekin in the past had admitted that he was in contact with Maggie, a situation which it is rumored made Gigi jealous because he is unable to forget his former love. Maggie however refuses to comment on these rumors, her only reply is a smile. Ekin admits he lost Maggie, but he also feels that it is unlikely to turn around, could it be that there is left a concealed pain in his heart.

Ekin says that performers often have people thank them for their assistance. Whether it be for an advertisment or a concert. In fact, that a performer has an advertisement to film, or work to do depends totally on those clients, so should be the other way around and I should be thanking them.
Today Ekin was flying to South Africa to film a new advertisment for Canon. Ekin described himself as very excited. He indicated that he would also be taking a camera to film the scenery.

Today Ekin and Nikki as attended a Canon promotion activity to promote the new line of cameras and printers. The rally arranged two people to dress up as zebra, they walked about on the stage while Ekin took pictures. Ekin didn't forget to take pictures of Nikki. The promotion attracted several hundred people and the scene was very lively. In addition Ekin's new advertisement shot in South Africa was broadcast. Ekin was extremely chatty, his frame of mind was good. Even master of ceremonies Jerry was unable to bear asking him whether before in Thailand disguise as Ultra man suffer people seal mouth not speak. So return this time not like this much talk. Ekin laughed " Now I'm free, feel like a little natural happiness. He spoke about the Africa trip, Ekin explained although must fly sixteen hours in the airplane, very exhausting, but also worth it.
Since Ekin parted with Gigi has conveniently become the target of the paparazzi. The magazine also pointed to rumors that Ekin sent flowers to Maggie for her birthday and that Ekin's sister plan to introduce him to a new girl and put an end to any change of heart with Gigi. Ekin denied he had sent flowers to Maggie He added that some reporters seem to want to depict this way and he didn't understand it. He went on to also deny that his sister had introduced any female friends to him, what they saw is a whole lot of friends having dim sum and being improperly filmed so the females among us are charged with being introduced by my sister, in fact all already have boyfriends. Reporters asked Ekin if he knew Gigi returned home and had gone to Shanghai, everybody still wants to know whether SMS? Ekin wrinkled his brow " Not explain, many thanks"

Lok Yi recently has been New City's special guest presenter. He invited Ekin and Miss Hong Kong, Fiona Yuen to be his guests. The program directors originally planned to allow reporters to interview Ekin, however Ekin refused because he didn't know what question they would ask. Afterwards a record company spokesperson said that Ekin hadn't beforehand made time for reporter interviews, so it wasn't reasonable for New City to invite the reporters to cover. However Ekin suddenly disappeared. Speculation was that he was unwilling to talk about the rumors concerning Maggie Sui. Lok Yi said it was likely a misunderstanding.

Ekin and Nikki together with company executives and Hong Kong Government officials attended the switching on of Hong Kong's first whirling neon sign. The advertisement is for Canon, so Ekin and Nikki were there in their capacity as Canon spokespersons. When Ekin saw the sign he immediately wanted to film it's movement. He said he had seen such signs before in Paris but this was the fist he had seen in Asia. The sign is located on the 28th floor roof top. Ekin said it would be best if he was on one side and Nikki was on the other. He also joked that he was not afraid of heights, only interviews.
He said that he would be leaving for Thailand today to visit the Tsunami disaster area and see the rebuilding situation. During the last few day she has prepared to carry a sleeping bag quilt, a flashlight etc. He said that this would be the first time to visit this area and he was not able to take too much.
Reporters asked if since he split with Gigi he was planning to move away from Sai Kung. Ekin said that temporarily he was not able to move because he has not been in Hong Kong for more than a few days in a week.
Earlier in the day, he had also been a guest of Nikki, when she was the New City guest presenter.They immediately traded banter. Ekin's manager Lam Shan Shan said that Nikki and Ekin had very similar personalities, calling Nikki a "female edition Ekin." Ekin described Nikki as fearless, with a lot of nerve. But sometimes they chat together. He said that despite her signboard smile, she actually has a pessimistic side, therefore he finds that he became her complain to target.

In January Ekin went to Thailand to film a YCMD casual clothing advertisment. In recent months he was again in Thailand to film episodes of the new Ultraman TV series. Currently he is again in Thailand filming a Peng Brothers movie, 寻找森林. Because the movie uses the forest as scenery, the director wants to avoid the daytime sun. This means that much of the filming work is done through the night. The movie is expected to be completed towards the end of April. When Ekin returns he will be starting work on another movie. Work for Ekin is really busy.

Today Ekin was awarded "Hi Tech Weekly" magazine's best of the best hi tech spokesperson award. Although Ekin was not currently in Hong Kong to receive it, he indicated that the news made him feel very happy. he thanked everyone who had voted for him to receive the award, and also thanked the advertisement companies for having faith trust and support him. He also reminded everyone that his newest advertisements would begin to air in April.
