The Thailand movie company Chaiyo holds the copyright for the cartoon hero Ultraman everywhere except in Japan after a dispute over the copyright which was resolved in 2004. They have once again decided to make a television series featuring the 40 year old hero, who battles evil and defeats numerous strange beasts to save the earth. The movie company has invited Ekin to play the leading role of Ultraman Elite, together with two Thai teenage idols to play the other super heroes, Dark Ultraman and Ultraman Millenium. The series will be shot in both Thailand and the Gobi Desert. This is the first time that the Ultraman characters have been played by Chinese and Thai actors, rather than Japanese actors. The company has used actors from two countries to help to promote the series throughout Asia.

The movie company already has 12 countries interested in purchasing the the series, including Mainland China, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. In addition the company is actively making contact in the USA, Europe, Argentina and Brazil. They hope to be able to popularize Ultraman throughout the entire world. The series will cost an estimated $2.5million US. However the consortium of companies involved hope to realize a $1billion. The hope is for the series to air in Mainland China in December on CCTV, and shortly after in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Thailand.

Ekin since a small child has been a fan of Ultraman, yesterday his dream came true and he became a member of the Ultraman clan to participate in the television series to battle strange beasts and save the earth. Ekin indicated that when he was young he loved to play Ultraman with his older brother. He recalls one time when he was about 10 years old one was Ultraman the other a computer beast heroic fight, the consequence was he bumped into the clothes horse and got injured, the scar is still on his leg. This time Ekin not only will save the world as Ultraman, but it will also allow his career to break into a new world. Since he announced his break up with girlfriend Gigi Leung, Ekin has fixed his mind on his career. He seems not to have a negative feeling, in fact the more he fights the more brave he becomes, now he has an opportunity to became a world name. Ekin has already in the past portrayed a number of cartoon characters on the movie screen, for example Stormriders and China Hero in several of these he had prominent achievements. It is certain he will enjoy this portrayal of one of his favorite characters.

Ekin and Gigi split up at the beginning of this year. Recently Gigi was in Japan. While there she visited the Blue Water Temple in Kyoto. She prayed at the "Love Stone" at the temple to ask about marriage connections. It is reported that the "Love Stone" is very sensitive. Since the breakup Gigi is still distressed and having a hard time, so it is unlikely she will make any complaint about Ekin, however she also is immersing herself in her work to survive. At the new year she sent out a short message to Ekin " Do you still love me? Ekin's close friends said that Ekin was through with this a long time, only just decide to announce the break up. They added that Ekin's and Gigi's personalities were completely different so even if they were forced together, chances are it would not be a good result. So even if Gigi wanted to not part company the chance would be very small. They said that Ekin for both sides has had to harden his heart, they only ask that the hurt will quickly be over. Gigi burned incense and lit candles to wish for a healthy and happy life for the new year.

Ekin is currently in Thailand filming the television series Ultraman. Yesterday he took advantage of a break in filming to spend time at the hotel swimming pool to sunbathe. He was joined by his hairstylist.

Ekin wore black swim trunks and spent many hours lying in the sun. He didn't swim apparently he only wanted to show off his figure. At the pool there were many other people including some beautiful women. Ekin from time to time enjoyed an appreciated the beautiful view and also chatted with his companion. From time to time he would look down at his own swim trunks apparently anxious as to how they were positioned. When Ekin was getting ready to leave, reporters noted that as he nears 40 years old he has a little middle-aged weight gain especially around his waist and hips.

Ekin, Fiona Sit and Wyman filmed an internet advertisement. Each of the three acted as a different type of internet user. in the advert they each have which need? Ekin loves advanced IT products, while Fiona hides in a princess sleep palace, she thought the scene was very interesting. Wyman clearly views all regions as different material. The entire advertisment process took 3 days.

Of course, Ekin loves all the latest technology products, especially the newest games. He often in the evening or on the weekend spends 4 to 5 hours on the internet, and mostly likes to play online games.

Ekin together with other BMA singers, including Grasshopper, Jade Kwan and Nikki Cheung etc. attended the BMA annual spring banquet. Jerry Lam teased Ekin because of the recent pictures from Thailand in weekly magazines. He introduced him as "Hero again appear Ekin". Ekin although embarrassed said that the sentence already explain to much. To reporters he added that they were just normal swimming trunks, also admitted he was not careful.

Despite this Ekin's frame of mind is good. He has secretly been looking at buildings since the new year, but as yet has not found the right location, however he as soon as possible wants to leave this sad place. However, he still wants to be near the ocean, but difficult to find a property so convenient and with an ocean view. He has to return to Thailand to finish filming but his family will continue to look. He hopes that after filming is complete he can in the next months move house. When Shan Shan was asked about Ekin's plans to move, she replied that it was private and she had nothing to say.

Reporters asked about the SMS Ekin's former girlfriend Gigi sent on Valentines Day, and asked if he had a change of heart. Ekin didn't answer directly, saying that he usually made phone calls and only receives SMS from friends who already notified him. Reporters asked if he was lonely on Valentine's Day with no one to give a gift to. He said that he gave a gift to a glamorous mixed blood girl, he gave her a small box, because she is only 7 years old.

This weekend Ekin was once again in Canada. He stopped off first in Vancouver to sign autographs for fans atParker Place. The next day he travelled to Toronto and again signed autographs for fans at Pacific Mall. Later in the evening he was a special guest art the Shooting Star Singing Competition which was held at Republic Nightclub. Acoording to fans who were there, Ekin's mood was good and he was pleased to see so many fans turn out to support him. During his mini concert he gave away signed posters to fans.
