彭浩翔 is one of Hong Kong's newest and most unusual directors. Yesterday he began to talk about his next film, 出埃及记, due to start shooting in the summer. He said that the lead actors will be Cecilia Cheung and Ekin. He added that he has known Ekin for a long time and has always wanted the opportunity to work with him on an interesting story.
He indicated that the story will involve some fight scenes. He said that Ekin in the lead role will discover a secret, a planned murder. 彭浩翔 loves wild fantasy, as a child he always wondered why women took so long in the bathroom, but now he knows the answer, they are planning a murder. It is not decided how this will happen as he is still adjusting the script. Since the beginning he has only filmed movies he has scripted, he says that with other people's scripts he is unable to grasp the rhythm. The result of using his own scripts is that his movies have a unique style. He is very excited about this newest movie. Even though the movie has Egypt in the title, it is unlikely will need to go to Egypt, the movie will be shot in Hong Kong.
In addition BMA indicated that they will be investing in movies. They plan to attract directors and offer both Ekin and Nikki movie roles. Nikki will have a role in 彭浩翔's new movie. They have also invited Gigi Leung to sign, however they don't necessarily plan to have Ekin collaborate with her.

A Hong Kong weekly publication has once again improperly stalked Ekin in Thailand, taking pictures mostly without his knowledge. Based on this they speculate that Ekin and Shu Qi, who is also filming in Thailand are having a relationship. Shu Qi also some time ago parted company with her long term boyfriend Leon Lai. Film crew members told reporters that Shu Qi was mostly distant from the group and only with Ekin seemed to enjoy herself.
Reporters saw them playing badminton and seeming to be quite close, and so the rumors were born. In Hong Kong their managers and friends are being disturbed by reporters asking proof as to whether they are a couple.

Recently Ekin was in South Africa to film an advertisment for Canon cameras. Ekin was impressed by the incredible natural beauty of the area and the abundant wildlife. Now Ekin has a new goal in his life, he wants to work to save enough money to buy an area to build a zoo. Canon arranged to shoot the advertisement on the South African veldt in order to fit with Canon's theme of "Simple is Beautiful".
Ekin said "When you stand in the middle of the grasslands you really feel very insignificant. In Hong kong it is very difficult to find a place where you can turn 360 degrees and only see grassland. People say that foreign moonlight is especially round, I feel that foreign grassland is especially green."
Even more now Ekin wants to support Environmental protection.
Because it is difficult to get to South Africa, once his work was finished, Ekin asked for a day off. Together with his crew he went to a wild animal reserve for a sightseeing tour. To see so many wild animals made him feel very happy. The deepest impression was of a pride of lions sleeping in the heat, but two young lions ran toward the tour vehicle, but they were caught by their father and returned to the pride. Ekin said that these scenes were unforgettable.
" Before I didn't anticipate that can have such close contact with the animals. I was really affected by the undisturbed freedom, this really was a fantastic trip. I feel that I even more want to support environmental protection, and do my best to to protect the natural ecology."
Ekin explained that since the trip his life has a new goal to build a zoo, "to build such an undisturbed and free environment is expensive, he hopes to have a zoo so that more people can be affected. I can at anytime watch giraffes, if my frame of mind not good can go see rhinoceros, with friends can drink tea at sunset, and watch swans on the lake. I can amuse myself and other people."

Rain Li is also collaborating with Ekin on the Peng Brother's movie "Abyss" in Thailand. A weekly magazine charged her with vying with Shu Qi for Ekin's attention. A few days ago she was seen by reporters keeping Ekin company at the pool. She was charged arranging to meet Ekin to swim, behind Shu Qi's back. Rain said that she encountered Ekin at the pool by chance when she went swimming, noting that Ekin was in fact with Shan Shan, but the reporters failed to include her in the photographs, she added that the whole report was ridiculous. When she was charged with peeking at Ekin she immediately said that Ekin was indeed fit but he was more like a father.

TVB's brand new series <Setout World> will use familiar actors to preside over, and relate their actual experiences in various places around the world, such as Italy, Dubai, The Tibetan Plateau, India and Thailand. Ekin will preside over the program on Thailand, and will investigate the life and customs of the local people.
Ekin is also
scheduled to begin a new movie in July. Cecilia Cheung is to be his co-star
in a Peng Hao Xiang film.
