Ekin, Haken Lee and Joey Leung last night were the guests at a talent show. Seven groups participated in the competition. The guests were the judges and when they pressed the buttons they had to stop. Competitors ended up with least 60 seconds to perform. There was a lot of hilarity as the teams performed. Finally a male group PHD accomplish 115 seconds using a Japanese cartoon look and the double share placed them at the head of the line-up. Ekin said it was hard to press the button, because the sting of defeat is very tragic. He could remember when he participated in such "rising star" final round competitions. He also has suffered the sting of defeat, fortunately he had thick enough skin to endure second place, so today he was slow to press the button, even though he really didn't like many of the performances.

Reporters went on to ask him about Gigi not wearing a bikini for her show. Ekin said that he assumed it was her decision. They asked him if he had seen her in a bikini, Ekin again evaded the question, saying that basically women in a bikini are good to look at, whether they are tall, short ,fat or thin, at the beach see all such women. However, men are more conservative, if they or wear tight swim-trunks definitely people may laugh. He added that he also dared not wear such swim-trunks because he is afraid other people would laugh.

Hong Kong's Disney Theme Park has been open for a month. Of all the Disney Theme Parks it is the smallest. Celebrities were asked to comment on the park. Ekin said that the mood was one of excitement. The lines form early, my friends say it is a priority for me to go with them to have the pleasure of seeing it first. However, still am waiting for their good reports. Actually, I hope that Disney can just once hold a celebrities day, so that Hong Kong's performers can go and have fun without reporters. Reporters asked him if such a day happens whether with Gigi he would have fun. Ekin laughingly said he would push her to enter the ghost house after he had played on space mountain. Actually he said that from the news he had seen it seems that Disney's strength is very great. But even if there is a continual police presence it is impossible to casually visit, also the nearby waters impossible to patrol. So if have a celebrity day, and on that day forbid reporters enter, we all together could go and have fun.

Tonight is Disney's red carpet ceremony, however many of Hong Kong's stars will be conspicuous by their absence. For BMA Shan Shan explained that although the company finally received an invite, all of their artists are very busy, so only Jerry will represent them. Many of the stars indicated that because of being ovcerlooked it is unlikely that they will go to Disney in the near future.

"Ekin and the bewitching woman, Gigi parted company"

This was the headline in the Eastern New Territories weekly magazine recently...they touted it as females of the whole world's best good news.

This reporter it seems has been camped outside Ekin's door for more than a month, watching Ekin's comings and goings and way of life, making notes and taking pictures. According to him Ekin and Gigi have had no contact for a whole month. Ekin and Gigi have been together for 6 years. Their feelings until now have been stable. But this magazine points to cause of their break up to be Ekin's old girlfriend Maggie Sui. Ekin went to see her movie and has communicated with her, Gigi is jealous and so they have parted company. The magazine makes out that Ekin is bored since they parted company.The article details everything he has done by date. Even going so far as to suggest that one night he was so bored that he watched an adult channel on TV.

Shan Shan denied that Ekin and Gigi had split up and also called the reporter's article into question saying that it was ridiculous. She also said that there was worry about actors safety, because such reporters were so relentless and improper.

She said Ekin was only watching TV, nothing more, and it was unlikely he would be affected or even countenance this report, in fact she had already talked to him on the phone because tomorrow he has a Canon camera event.

She added that the reporter couldn't possibly see Ekin's TV unless he was out on the water as his TV is at the seaward side of his house, and there is also a fence between him and his neighbors. She felt that it was terrible that actors were harrassed in their homes.

Ekin has not released an album this year, he cites the cause was because of filming the TVB drama. Originally he had planned to release the album in August this year, but now he wants to wait until next year. He said this is because he feels that the TVB drama can help him to crack open mainland China's market.

Ekin and Gigi in recent years have often been the subject of media speculation. One minute they spread they are parting company, the next, getting married. Recently a certain weekly publication improperly photographed and watched Ekin in his home for a month. even going to so far as to spread that Ekin and Gigi had parted company. Ekin and Gigi yesterday at separate public events both denied they had parted company.

Ekin regarding this improper prying into his life for a month displayed indignant anger, he spoke out saying that the idea of morality was already extinct. He urged the government to follow this matter with interest. Gigi, however, when asked to discuss her boyfriend watching adult movies, she angrily said this matter was ridiculous, Ekin is already an adult, and did they mean to say that they think he should still be watching Disney cartoons?

Ekin yesterday attended a promotion for Canon cameras in is role as spokesman. He has been the spokesman for Canon for the last four years. While he was working and on stage, his frame of mind was not bad, even when Jerry Lam took the opportunity to make fun. However afterwards when he accepted interviews, at the beginning he still relaxed answer questions, reporters asked if the adult movies were good. Ekin merely smiled and didn't answer.as soon as discuss the improper prying into his private life, the usually good tempered Ekin was unable to bear the string of questions, the more he talked the more furious he became. Ekin said this put him under much pressure, because a paper writes without basis with the intent to humiliate. He openly said that he cannot tolerate this weekly publication's brazen prying into his life. He added that he is a public figure and this is really too excessive. He explained that the movie and the television both were restriction rated, but he failed to understand why the weekly publication didn't supervise, the reporter is not named. He said that this matter is already not tolerable and he hopes that the government will look into as it is a Hong Kong disgrace. Ekin again pointed out that this is not the way to use advanced technology, it seems that the notion of morality has died out. Recently Shu Qi suffered similar harassment, she was able to take legal action. Ekin indicated that the law would definitely appear to cause a correction. He hoped that the related attorneys can try to revise history. Reporters asked him if he would increase the security at his home. Ekin barely controlling his anger said that it wasn't his problem, he only expects to be able to return from work and lead a normal person's life in his own home. Ekin really didn't want to discuss the relationship between himself and Gigi, but reporters also pointed out that Gigi had already denied they had parted company report. Ekin then agreed, that she was correct, they hadn't parted company, but he thinks that he will not again explain. Reporters then asked him if this incident was the time he was most made fun of. Ekin immediately replied that it was not making fun, it was disappointment, and was a situation of misinforming the public.

Gigi said she had seen the report and it was ridiculous, however she reminded reporters that two weeks before this Ekin's alarms had sounded, now it seems may have been a person too close that set them off. She said she was unaware that Ekin was being stalked, but this incident made her fearful and she will from now on need to be cautious. She said that home was a comfortable place, but now by invaders feels helpless. She said that if go on the ocean and in the sky to improperly spy really it is impossible to avoid them, they should have more professional integrity. Reporters quizzed her further regarding the alleged argument over Ekin making contact with Maggie Sui. Gigi laughed and said this was a story, the reality is that they have not argued.

Last night was Nikki Cheung's first concert. Some of her fellow singers at BMA including Ekin, who helped her with the filming of her MV, filmed a short segment to support and congratulate her. Shan Shan was asked to confirm whether Ekin and Gigi had split up. Shan Shan said that the reports were ridiculous and completely fabricated. Ekin and Gigi had not parted company. However reporters noted that Ekin during the evening had disappeared without trace in Kowloon for an hour.When asked where Ekin had gone she explained that actually he was at his friend Jerry Lam's home.

A month ago Ekin was seen to test drive a new car. However he avoided this issue claiming that he didn't buy a new car. But reporters investigated Ekin's avoidance of the question and realized is because not an $800,000HK vehicle but spent $1,070,000HK. This week, Ekin abandoned his old car, and even though he was in a bad mood with reporters he finally admitted that he just a moment ago bought this new car. Together with his friend Chen Guangrong and other good friends go to look at the car. When pushed by reporters he merely said that test drove the car only because soon he would need to change his old car. However he refused to divulge whether he had bought this new car. Reporters pushed to take a picture, Ekin in a black mood immediately resisted any photographs, reporters continued to ask him if he had changed his car, but he didn't reply. Finally he he said " Is...new exchange" after that he quickly left. Ekin just bought this Range Rover Sport Edition high performance vehicle. The car is comfortable, luxurious and practical, as had an off road capability. So over the past few days he has been busy having fun with his new car.

Over the past few days several newspapers have been interviewing people on the street, concerning the secret videotaping of Ekin's private life. Almost unanimously people felt that these reporters behaved shamelessly by following a person for a month. Everyone interviewed felt sympathy for Ekin, feeling that everyone is entitled to privacy in their home. However, they were split almost in half on the question of whether there should be legislation to regulate such violations of privacy, many people feeling that this would impede the freedom of the press that is inherent in Hong Kong. 86% of the people interviewed did not believe that Ekin and Gigi had parted company and felt that the reporters for this publication had completely fabricated this news. Even though many of them did not particularly like Gigi.

On the question of Ekin watching adult movies, people were forced to believe it because he did not deny it. Many of the people interviewed, (46 %) felt that it probably would have an effect on his image, especially as he was wearing only his underwear while watching the movie. However, it would seem that many of the people interviewed were young women. It maybe that if more males were included in the small sample of 50 people there may have been a different perspective.
