Today Ekin and most of the cast for the TV drama 随时候命 participated in the roast pig ceremony before starting work. However because of weather problems, continuously they have been unable to actually fly. He estimates that it will be next month before this will happen, Ekin is looking forward to the day in the air. Ekin recently is often shuttling between Television City and the Aviation Service Headquarters. One of the team members had in the past been in the entertainment industry. Ekin has since said that he is also interesting in signing up. However it is a pity that Ekin is getting older and he can't necessarily cope with the physical demands.
In the service the picture looks the same as attending school, because there are very many rules and it is impossible to violate them, for example if you leave behind or lose your identification then will be reported to the police. I remember starting work the second day, I start to feel I have left behind or lost my identification, cause the intention to report to the police, however I discover it is in my trouser pocket, only just avoid a big disturbance.
Because at the Aviation Service Headquarters the warning bell often sounds. When it does they withdraw so as not to hinder the team members going to save lives. As a result the mood is one of taking precautions. Ekin laughed and said things could quickly become insane. As to the expensive helicopters Ekin was asked whether he could bear just imitating. Ekin smiled and explained that the helicopters were strictly guarded, so they dare not be chaotic, everyone is highly intelligent.

This evening at 8:30pm Ekin, Karena, Bobo, Hu Bing and other members of the cast of the movie It Had To Be You attended the premiere at Tongluo Bay JP theater. Although the weather that evening was cold, Karena wore the latest spring fashion, a low V neck, short skirt dress. It was certainly not a conservative image. She received a number of compliments and Ekin likewise was admiring. Ekin said that she looked very pretty, adding that females have this advantage, and they dress-up to cause people to feel that their image is fresh and new.

Lam Shan Shan has been Ekin's manager for many years and they have a good relationship. Shan Shan has now joined the new record company BMA as a high level manager. Whether Ekin will follow her to BMA is at present unknown. Last night BMA held a Spring Tea feast and both Shan Shan and Ekin attended. They arrived together and it already seemed as though Ekin was among the members. Regarding Ekin joining BMA, full authority to follow manager responsible for and he is responsible for foreign work. Ekin alread has plans to make an album this year, he also hopes he can produce a Japanese CD.
Gigi has filmed a fine style food advertisment, some people have complained that this is inconsistant with her name. Ekin found out from reporters about this matter. He said that he was not clear on the details but likely the product was of interest to some people and not to others, as everyone has their point of view. He added that recently both of them have been very busy and so haven't been in communication. He said he could send an email or call and find out, but is shouldn't be a big problem.
Now Shan Shan is under BMA's umbrella there are many signed artists to manage. Of course she is tense about Ekin and relates to him what she will be doing. She wants to wait to see how the work patten is at BMA and only then can she make decisions. As to Ekin, after he has finished filming the TVB drama he is currently filming, Shan Shan predicts that mid year he will release an album. She also hopes next year he can begin a concert tour.

Ekin and Karena were in Shanghai tp publicize their new movie, It Had To Be You. Ekin for the first time indicated that his marriage to Gigi is close. This was an unwilling admission brought on by media pressure, however when they pushed further he finally told them not to talk about his private life, saying only that it would be soon. Following his break up with Maggie Sui, Ekin suffered much harm to his career being accused of being shallow and unfaithful. Gigi likewise was labeled as a bewitching woman who had lured Ekin. Even to her career the effect was not small. Because of this Ekin has rarely spoken to the press of their relationship. Ekin said that playing the role in the movie where he and Karena are together despite the fact that they both have other partners, of this kind of state of mind he had some understanding. However he said that although he often plays romantic comedy roles, in this movie the feelings were in fact very complicated, and because people often want love to be simple it is very moving.

This year on April 28, 2005 the new Benny Chan movie Divergence staring Ekin Cheng, Aaron Kwok, Daniel Wu and Angelica Lee will premiere in Asia. All along Benny Chan and the actors have been very close mouthed concerning the plot saying only that it was relatively complicated and intricate. During the film three separate people, and attorney, a police officer and a professional killer find themselves embroiled in layer upon layer of confusion and complicated background.
Aaron Kwok plays Sun Zhao Ren a Hong Kong police officer. He is assigned to the business crime investigation branch. Ten years ago his girlfriend Su Fang just before their marriage mysteriously disappeared without a trace. Since that time Sun has continually searched for her, without success. Searching for her has become the only reason he keeps going, un until one day he encounters the wife of a successful lawyer who looks exactly the same as his girlfriend Su Fang.
Ekin Cheng plays a successful lawyer Du Hou Sheng. He has a happy life with his wife Amy. He is smart and shrewd and in court he time and time again is victorious, however his life is a contradiction, he represents the rich and sometimes they are right and sometimes wrong but he helps them anyway. As a result he starts to have a battle of conscience within his heart.
Daniel Wu plays a professional killer, however he often doesn't follow the assassin's rules. One time he is on a mission when he recognizes Sun Zhao Ren. For the first time his conscience gets the better of him and he fails to go through with the killing.
Angelica Lee plays both Dun's girlfriend Su Fang and Du's wife Amy. This causes a problem between Du and Sun as Sun believes her to be his girlfriend. In his desolate state he becomes convinced she is Su Fang.

In the past when Ekin signed with EEG, the sales volume of the album was not good, result was frozen out for three years, the impact on his career was enormous. Possible there are people, who in this situation would lose heart, give up and not sing anymore, also there are people who regard him as nothing. However he doesn't feel his song aspects are difficult, he still smiles and says, " If I talk like this how can I have success?"
In those past years Ekin because of the Young and Dangerous movies was in a bonus time for his career. However after he had signed with EEG and produced the first album, his singing career immediately came to a standstill. In three years hardly had produced any cd's. In this situation Ekin worked hard to develop other aspects, for example non-stop filmed advertisments, movies and television drama's. At last have suffered through these years. Last year with BMG Ekin oncew again released an album, but after went again to film a television drama.

As the release date for Divergence comes closer more details of the movie are becoming available. Universal has gathered together a strong team for their new movie. Director Benny Chan and his action team selected three famous name stars to play the lead roles, Aaron Kwok, Ekin Cheng and Daniel Wu. In addition the supporting cast led by Angelica Lee is also full of strong actors. Many theaters have a lot of confidence that the the movie will do well and are already planning to have it premiere the golden week beginning May 1st. The Movie company therefore has decided that April 28, 2005 will be the official premiere. All of mainland China, and South East Asia will premiere the movie at the same time. The movie company has made this decision to guard against pirated copies of the movie. They have also set aside a lot of money for publicity. The lead actors will promote the movie in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
The climax of the story takes place at night. A mistaken identity between enemies unfolds into an intense fight, so exciting that one can barely draw breath. Though many people don't know the correct name of the movie, the director Benny Chan feels that the film's name is very interesting and he has used different music to develop the story.
The poster for the movie has already been made. It portrays the three lead actors, Aaron, Ekin and Daniel. The actors are overlapped and somewhat indistinct. Aaron is portrayed in the center as the other characters revolve around his story.

Ekin and Chung Jia Xin ( Michelle) were at Clearwater Bay filming for the TVB drama. Michelle was asked how she felt about working with Ekin for the first time.She said that it was a lot of fun because he has a quick mind and always makes people laugh. She also said he loiked to tease the female members of the cast but luckily he already has a girlfriend so it is only jokes. She said that with Ekin around it was impossible to feel melancholy.
Ekinsaid that filming was continuing everyday, all day and even the night shift. he said that although it was exhausting it was valuable and challenging. He expects in the next days to be filming from the helicopter hanging from beneath it a somewhat dangerous scene. He explained that to film these scenes th company has spent many tens of thousands of dollars, so that he can have this chance to film. Reporters wanted to know if there was adequate insurance for such dangerous scenes. Ekin assured then that there was personal uinsurance and the company also carried sufficient labor insurance so he wasn't worried.
Ekin also spoke briefly on his views concerning the price increases of public transportation. He felt that the government should be paying more attention to this aspect.

Today was the premiere of Benny Chan's new movie Divergence starring Daniel Wu, Aaron Kwok and Ekin. Unfortunately Ekin was not able to attend the premiere because of his commitment to film TVB's drama Anytime Fate. Ekin said that they were filming a scene of an ocean rescue. He had to spend 6 hours floating in the ocean. The weather was not good, it was both very windy and also raining. Most of the film crew were seasick including the photographer. However finally they were able to complete the scene of the rescue by the Government Rescue Flying service team. Ekin indicated that he has taken insurance in the event that anything unexpected should happen.

Today Ekin was in Beijing. In his capacity of spokesman for YCMD casual clothing he attending the spring and summer collection fashion show. The event took place inthe Great Wall Hotel's function rooms. Many of Ekin's fans attended, the audience was warm and lively. Ekin happily interacted with the audience playing question and answer games. Ekin also sang making his fans very happy. The mood of the whole event was extremely warm and lively. In addition to publicizing YCMD's line of clothing Ekin also took the opportunity to publicize his newest movie Divergence.
There were large numbers of Fans and media reporters present, Fans called out to him and the press fired questions. They pursued the recent rumors that Ekin would marry Gigi soon. Ekin confronted them and said that the rumor was false. At present his career was in a good development stage and so at this time he has no plans to get married. Ekin said that his current commitments to filming the TVB drama, in which he plays a team member of the aviation rescue team, meant he needed to return immediately to Hong Kong after the event. He laughed and said he as always been known as a 'high flying person.'
