Famous Television celebrity and singer Ekin Cheng today attend a meeting of the Hong Kong Neighborhood Association of which he is an ambassador. The Association is a non profit organization which helps communities to develop ways to mutually help each other and make their communities safer, and in addition use their natural resources to help their neighbors who are in need. In addition to help communities welcome new residents into their midst. The Association has many diversified services including health care, working with teenagers, and helping adults learn how help newcomers from the mainland assimilate into Hong Kong society.

Ekin explained that holding the office of Ambassador to this organization was very significant work. He noted sadly that now society is becoming more and more wealthy, and at the same time science and technology is becoming more and more advanced, people therefore become more and more separated and often fail to communicate. If each person is able to foster a spirit of "liking ones neighbors as oneself" as much as possible then will have a caring community in which people in need will have help. That will definitely help to make Hong Kong a more harmonious and friendly place.

A large number of fans were present at the event and gave Ekin an enthusiastic welcome. Two male fans from America had signs saying " I LOVE EKIN". To have pictures taken one even had his arm draped around Ekin's neck.

Unfortunately, the rigors of filming Always on Standby have caused some old difficulties with his waist and feet to flare up again. His plans to travel after filming is finished for the moment have had to be cancelled because of this. At the event Ekin was wearing a waist support and it was clear that he needed to support his lower back as he climbed the stairs. Ekin said that he doctor had indicated that this old damage was in fact very serious, and he needed to wear the waist support and refrain from extreme sports and exercise. Ekin uses acupuncture and oriental medicine for his waist injury. In fact a few days ago Gigi was also injured during an advertisement and needed to use acupuncture also. Ekin was surprised, as he said he knew nothing of this accident. Reporters teased him saying that he wasn't showing concern for someone nearby. Ekin countered that if he didn't know then it couldn't be such a serious injury.

A few days ago Ekin was a guest at Chapman To's wedding. Other guests included Hacken Lee, Jerry Lam, and Leon Lai.

This evening around 10pm Ekin was seen outside a hotel with Nicki Chow, although also present were Jerry Lam and his wife. After Jerry and his wife left, Ekin and Nikki remained outside the hotel chatting. After Nikki got a phone call Ekin waited until she was finished before waving his hands to say "bye", Nikki indicated she wanted him to stay longer, but Ekin didn't see since he got into his car to leave.

Following gossip in some magazines, Nikki explained that she and Ekin were invited to dinner by Shan Shan to celebrate her birthday. She pointed out that her relationship with Ekin was like that of an older brother, they are all part of the same company. She noted that Ekin has a girlfriend for a long time. Reporters also caught up with Gigi in Taiwan where she was modeling for Louis Vutton and asked her what she thought of this gossip. Gigi laughed it off and said it didn't affect her.

Nikki invited her good friend Ekin to be a guest performer in the MV for her new song. This is the first time she has filmed an MV since signing with BMA. The content relates to Nikki in a cake shop, where she learns to fix a cake and meets Ekin fancies him, but discovers that he already has a girlfriend. During the filming both of them continuously teased the other, still often the talk between them is 'tit for tat'. Ekin pretended to be angry and throw the cake at her, he scared her and she yelled. However she thanked him for helping her to film the MV. Nikki noted that their personalities were similar and so they had a special relationship, she laughed and said that it was a pity that he really did already have a girlfriend.

Ekin, last night attended a WWF promotional ceremony. Recently in a magazine there have been some scantily clad pictures of Ekin's former girlfriend Maggie Sui. Reporters quizzed Ekin about the pictures. He said that he had seen them and he thought they were good, but hadn't read the details because he seldom reads magazines, . When reporters pressed him on whether her figure was as good as in the past. He merely said that everyone is independent and he had already been more than generous in answering these questions which they really should not ask him. They then pursued the idea that during the filming of his recent TVB drama, Charmaine was so late arriving for filming that it caused him to to be angry. Ekin pointed out that the drama was finished. TVB film drama's very quickly and everyone is a professional actor, they are mostly very punctual.

Today is Father's Day, Ekin as a good son will not only eat with his family but also celebrate, by taking his father to swim from the pier. Reporters asked him if he would give his father good news that he would marry Gigi. Ekin replied that his older brother and younger sister have both long been married and so he has immunity from his father. In fact he considers marriage to be troublesome so at present he is not even considering it. For the foreseeable future he will only concentrate on his work.

Last night Ekin, Nikki and Eunice Chan attended the first showing of HOGAN's Fall/Winter collection. Reporter were once again relentless in quizzing Ekin about his former girlfriend Maggie Sui. Ekin once again said that he had seen them but he seldom read magazines and they weren't bad. Reporters wanted more details but Ekin refused to comment further, saying only that he was independent of Maggie and it was not appropriate to discuss this.

Recently Ekin finished filming a TVB drama, Always Ready with Charmaine Sheh. Although Ekin had recently denied that Charmaine was not punctual to filming, it seems that during some of the final scenes she did in deed keep Ekin waiting a long time to shoot the final scenes. The scene was due to be filmed outside a Mall at 8pm. The night was extremely hot. Ekin waited in his car to keep cool and in fact was eating Mc Donald's fries. Charmaine arrived very late in her black Mercedes sports car, and didn't even make any apology to Ekin. In fact during the scene in the car she demanded that the air conditioning be turned up higher.

Despite the summer heat the scene that was to be shot was a winter one and so Charmaine had to wear thick winter clothes and a winter hat. When she arrived at the place she was in a black mood, The TVB staff have learned to give her a wide berth as her mood is often uncertain. However, once she was with Ekin her demeanor changed and she was all smiles. Once the scene was underway, however, she kept making mistakes and causing the scene to be shot over. Finally it was completed to the satisfaction of the director. As Charmaine was about to leave, she unexpectedly grabbed Ekin's hand to say good-bye. It was so sudden that Ekin was somewhat caught off guard, and in fact tried to retreat a few steps. Charmaine's unexpected pulling at him caused him to feel the situation was completely embarrassing.

Ekin was in Kuming together with the BMA new signed band "V". They were practicing to perform together and also to attend, as special guests, a sports activity sponsored by a famous car. Ekin has asked the band to compose something for them to record together. The lead singer said that he liked Ekin very much and he was honored, and this was a invitation was a dream come true.

Kuming is very high and the air there is very dry and thin. Ekin has been suffering from a cold and so his throat felt unwell. He continuously coughed and his voice was hoarse. One of the band members sufferers from asthma and he had an inhaler which he loaned to Ekin to sniff.

Fans welcomed Ekin shouting " Nam" in reference to his role in the Young and Dangerous Series "Chan Ho Nam". A number of fans wanted him to sign their copies of the movie, but when he examined them he discovered that they were pirate copies and as a consequence he refused to sign them.
