Ekin together with his friend, composer Chen Guangrong attended the final concert of DEAR JANE's four week tour, to offer them support. Ekin was one of a large number of celebrities who turned out to support the band.

Recently Gigi had Hins Cheung as a guest at one of her performances. He said that he fantasized of Gigi as a dream lover. When he knew that Ekin was her boyfriend he said that he then didn't like Ekin, but because Gigi was his idol and she loved him, now he likes Ekin. However he said that he would be unlikely to find so tall a girlfriend and in fact dislikes the fact that she is so tall.

Ekin early this morning was the host at the start of team challenge 36. He also participated over the first 300 meters to support the teams. BMA's Nikki Chow should also have been present but unfortunately she had a fever and so couldn't attend, some of her fans hissed which was embarrassing.

Ekin of course was asked about Hins Cheung's comments. Ekin passed it off saying it was just publicity and Hin's was already married. Ekin finally said " It's too early I didn't wake up yet."

Ekin is a Neighborhood Ambassador, and yesterday he attended the opening of an modern engineering work center. Jerry Lam and Kuang Zi Ni also attended. Ekin encouraged the teenagers to participate in public service activities and become members of the Neighborhood Associations. The last time Ekin was at a similar function he had hurt his waist during the filming of the TVB drama Always On Standby. Reporters asked how the injury was now. Ekin replied that now he needed time to rest to take care of it. However he added that at the same time he wants very much to arrange to record another album. Reporters then asked if he would invite his girlfriend Gigi to compose for him. Ekin smiled and said later he would think about it. Reporters wanted to know whether Gigi recommended herself. Ekin noted that she needn't recommend herself, writing a song is not that hard, more important is whether they can coordinate. Ekin also said that as yet the type of songs on the album were not decided.

There are reports that because Ekin's manager Lam Shan Shan now with BMA Record Company. Everybody thinks that Ekin will accompany her and sign with BMA. However Ekin said that in this regard he honestly doesn't know his feelings. " I don't know, ask Shan Shan, actually it doesn't matter whom I collaborate with." Ekin again explain that after he was free of EEG many record companies offer to discuss collaboration. He gave promises that if he signs with a new record company he will hold a meeting to announce it. Reporters noted that it has already been a year since the last album and wanted to know if he was impatient. Ekin said he wasn't he just gradually worked on it.

Today Ekin was at 903 as part of the variety line up for Sammy and Kitty's stage drama at the roast pig start of rehearsals ceremony. Other participants included Fiona Sit, Kary and Charles Ying. Ekin said that this was the first time he had collaborated with such a large group of young people. Ekin has performed in a stage drama before in 1999 when he was part of the Summer Night Madness with Jordan. Miriam and Gigi. Ekin indicated that this time it was different, as feels more like a summer vacation activity and as such he was doing this for interest and not renumeration.

Over the last few days Ekin has been taking care of his waist injury. His doctor has persuaded him to rest for at least 3 months. This means that this summer he can't indulge in water sports or any other kind of intense sports. It is completely an old trouble that has flared up. He feels that being unable to go out on the ocean is very tragic. Fortunately he has a number of other things at home to allow him to exercise.

Ekin was interviewed on 881 radio by Vini and Sky.

Ekin became famous after filming the Young and Dangerous series of movies. The interviewer noted that he was already different from some of the people who worked on those movies with him. For example, Jerry Lam was already married and has a child. Is it soon to be Ekin's turn to be married? Ekin laughed and said that this matter was still long range. He was also asked about Jordan and whether he had problems with the various directors they worked with. Ekin said that he didn't know. In addition there was discussion about Jordan's temper, as he had threatened reporters recently. Ekin said that he indeed had a temper, but for a long time they hadn't been in communication so he wasn't clear whether this rumor was true or not.

Recently Ekin has been in Singapore to attend an advertising promotion for Seiko watches. Also the local audiences were asked to select in their view the most want to watch actors. Ekin was happy that his name was on the list together with Andy Lau, Chow yun Fat and Tony Leung.

The Young and Dangerous movies are now 10 years old. Ekin has wanted to find time to have celebration event. He hopes that still could with director Andy Lau can collaborate a plan.

In honor of Eason's 31st birthday he held a performance at Causeway Bay's Television City. Performing with him were a number of his fellow All About Men co singers including Hacken Lee, Ekin, Bowie Lam and Chen Hao. They gave him a birthday cake with number 27 on it for his birthday date and figure dressed in sports clothes.

Recently Ekin was in Singapore for a promotion activity. He said that just before he retired he received a long distance telephone call from Hong Kong. It turned out that it was an advertisement type of phone call. He indicated that this was not the first time. It was clear that the maker of the call had no idea what the time was and the technique was extreme nonsense. Ekin hoped that the government of the Hong Kong SAR would look into this practice. Sadly he feels that he now must use an answer machine and set his cell phone so that he can make calls but not receive them.

Additionally according to a weekly magazine, Ekin had dinner with his girlfriend Gigi and then purchased an $800,000HK car. Ekin admitted he had gone to look at the car, because his current car he has used for many years and it is time to change it. However when asked to confirm whether he bought it, he refused to answer.

Yesterday Ekin, Fiona, Kary, Charles Ying, Kitty and Sonny together with other members of stage musical drama Ya ka Bi Gunshot Incident went to the rehearsal room to begin practice. Zhan Rui Wen is the artistic director for the performance. He laughed and said he was very strict and had a wooden stick and if anyone didn't listen to what he had to say, he was would be very wicked and they would suffer body punishment.

Ekin plays Ya Ka Bi an avenging angel. Originally he believed in true love yet has seen it's betrayal flourishing below and decides that in one night will massacre and purge all those engaged in love that is not true. Sen Mei acts as Lan Ya and Fiona Sit as 3G, they want to save everybody and look for true love and find a couple played by Kary and Xiao Yi. Lan Ya and 3G however dare not show their true feelings for fear of becoming Ya Ka Bi's prey.

Ekin openly said that to be able to learn performance art with Zhan Rui Wen made him very happy. he feels that doing a stage drama gives an actor a fresh kind of challenge. However he said that if he has to attend class for a long time he will have a degree of difficulty. He laughed and explained that since he was young he has had a go to class fear disease. He said it was likely because he was excessively active and they want him to sit down for a long time so that he almost think he will die, probably because his bottom was too bony and didn't have enough meat. However he noted that in recent years he has got better. When he was working on the TVB drama Always on Standby he needed to attend the flying service team's course. For an entire week he had to go every day and spend all day in the classroom to learn the lessons. In addition last year he began advanced study of the English language. Now he already has progress together with his teacher if he confronts speaking English already he is unafraid. He explained that already he can fluently communicate with foreigners. Reporters asked him if he looks for nearby people to practice his English. He understood that all his English speaking friends were his practice targets.

The drama will have performances from August 19 -23 at the Hong Kong Science and Engineering University
