Today the DVD of Ekin's latest movie Leave Me Alone is released. The DVD contains both Cantonese and Mandarin tracks and subtitles in Traditional and Simplified Chinese and also English. The movie has a wide-screen format and a playing time of 93 minutes.

This is a black movie. It has some humorous scenes but also elements of violence. Playing two parts so very different has a great degree of difficulty for an actor.

Ekin was recently in Japan to participate in music exchange concerts in Tokyo and Osaka. He shared the stage with the Japanese group Gospeller and the Korean group Rain.

Ekin expressed that the backstage security was extremely tight, unlike Hong Kong where backstage people can come and go. Here each singer had their own room to wait in before their performance. Ekin felt that because asked, he should stay in the room and didn't dare to move around. However, he heard people outside his door and when he opened it, he found the members of Gospeller and Rain outside. They wanted to get a look at him because they recognized him as Chan Ho Nam, and when Ekin introduced himself to them they told him that they are fans of the Young and Dangerous movies.

Ekin was surprised and happy because Gospeller told the audience that they only recognize that Ekin was Chan Ho Nam but they didn't know he was also a singer. They added that they hoped they could get to know his singing side.

Afterwards Posteller initiated the idea that they could again collaborate. Ekin said it was unlikely that he would miss such an opportunity as long as both sides are able to keep in communication.

Karina Lam talked about her good friends. She said that most of her close friends she has met through her work. She mentioned her great friendship with Ekin, saying that she has already worked with him three times,the latest being the romantic comedy Jack and Jill. She went on to say that Ekin always brings a lot of games onto the set, for example Gameboy or a remote control airplane to play with. He is never miserable and is always a fun person to be around. She felt that the most important thing was that they could chat and know in her heart that their friendship is genuine.

Ekin is interested in I.T. product inventions. He has always liked science and technology products. Yesterday he attended the Hong Kong 2004 most honored great price, awards ceremony. Ekin collected the prize for the "Most liked spokesperson for an IT product" award for his role as spokesperson for Canon Cameras. It was presented by the Government Official for Science and Technology.He said that of course he was delighted to win a prize. He said that he is very interested in new inventions and if a person invited him to collaborate he would be willing to supply an invention. He always has creative designs. He spoke of his enjoyment playing game machines. He always had an idea for a portable game machine.

Now that games machines have in recent years become portable this has made a long time dream to come true. Ekin spoke of the fact that most of the I.T. products he had at home were cameras. previously he had looked for a portable telephone, they were all very close, but now he is able to look at the practical need. Sometimes even able to purchase a new design. Then the old style either give as a present to friends, or for same cost sell to friends.

Ekin spoke of buying a portable computer when it first was released for $40,000 HK. He also explained that all kinds of foreign things are totally I.T. He hopes that the Hong Kong Government in popularizing the travel business should also look to include I.T. At the same time he criticized the Government for being too conservative. Saying that city residents were in being able to enjoy new science and technology products a little slow.

Yesterday, Ekin and other member of the cast of the new TVB drama about the aviation rescue service, put on the uniforms for a press conference. The deputy head of the drama department explained that the Hong Kong Aviation Service team is 100% assisting with the the filming. Their only stipulation is that filming must not interfere with their normal rescue work, and in addition should they receive a rescue order then filming must immediately stop. This means that time for filming can't be accurately predicted, for 30 episodes expect about 4 months.

Ekin only just returns to TVB to film this new drama. The last time he filmed for TVB was 6 or 7 years before when he finished filming " Double Face Man". Ekin indicated that since then he has kept in communication with TVB, they always ask him to consider the dramas, then last year when the drama department mentioned this drama he was interested in the theme. The drama head felt the need for a person with nerve and courage, to join the line up of actors. In addition the drama directly conformed to his love of challenging characters, so he right away agreed to do it. Also he didn't hesitate to cut his hair short for the role, his serious attitude can be seen right away. At the end of last year he spent time training, Ekin said, " I feel I should go and do the work of the flying service. It's a pity that my own record of schooling is insufficient." As to during making the drama, he wants to climb mountains, go to sea, go save lives, possibly even enter an oil rig to see the view. Reporters asked him if he worried that it was dangerous. Ekin said that safety should come first when filming a drama. He was also asked whether while filming the drama the TVB management would limit his ability to work. Ekin said that it was unlikely because he had already spent long ago a good time period. Ekin originally owed TVB, twenty episodes of a drama. This time he will not only clear that debt but exceed the amount. Reporters wanted to know if he will personally sing the theme song. Ekin indicated that this was still in discussion.

Charmaine said that she was glad to work with Ekin. She said that other actresses that have worked with him all have good things to say about him. She wants to see whether he really is this good a person.
