Recently the Three Star company and Channel 5 announced they would unite to produce a Three Star Yepp V T8 summer concert. They plan to hold this in Shanghai on August 27, 2005. Participating in the concert will be Alive, Ekin, Chiang Meiqi, Dai Pei Ni, and mainland artists 水木年华. The different styles of all these artists will together produce a variety sparkle. Besides the spectacular concert the emphasis will be on the integration of sight and sound to bring to fans a brand new sensation to enjoy the performance. With the Three Star YP-T8 adopt hi-tech to create a 3-dimensional sight and sound world design. The Three Star electronic acoustics products business head explained that fans now more and more expect to conveniently enjoy advanced quality music. The Yepp series MP3 players are especially for fashionable young people. This concert will adapt a give present style.The performers also indicated that they will not seek to collect any performance expenses. It is a purely for fans music concert.

Ekin has always been fond of IT toys. He together with Nikki were invited to attend the Hong Kong Computer Communication Festival 2005. As IT ambassadors they assist in popularizing Hong Kong's science and technology products. Ekin said that now IT product quantities have reached in excess of a million dollars.
Ekin and his girlfriend Gigi both live Sai Kung in separate residences. As a result, recently a weekly publication reported that neighbors had heard them in Ekin's house arguing. Ekin denied it, and asked reporters whether they believed it. Because many other actors live in the complex, it has become a reporter target and they employ eavesdropping devices to see inside the house. Ekin laughingly said that has to believe that now many reporters are so lazy that they only write and don't take pictures. They need not enter the house to take pictures. So he finds himself on the cover, and finds it laughable why this kind of casual cover can be best selling.
Recently Gigi has considered wearing a bikini for the MV of her new song. Ekin said that if she had the courage he would not be bothered. Nikki on the other hand is sick and has a cold which is making her voice husky. She also said that her body was weak. Nikki also said that some of her young fans had made web pages for her, she said it made her happy and want to work hard. She also said that her mother connected to the internet to read her news.

Ekin, Alex Fong, Candy Lo, Yan, and Theresa Fu among others, attended the "My Effort" 6th anniversary concert. Ekin appealed to the public to respect copyright, because the copying catastrophe can directly influence the next generation. The singers appealed to the public not to illegally download songs and then went on to encourage young people to study and not think that not having the highest result is the end of the world, there are many kinds of creative development.
The weather in Hong Kong recently has not been stable. The day before yesterday a burst of strong wind blew loose and damaged the eaves covering of Ekin's three story home. Ekin himself climbed up three stories onto the flat roof to repair it. In the strong wind he almost fell. After this he think that money is better spent to have someone fix it, because below the ground is packed gravel and so if you really make a mistake and fall then it will be too late to repent.
Earlier because Ekin was involved in filming the drama for TVB he continuously declared that at present he would delay signing with BMA. But now the filming of the drama is already finished and still Ekin has not made any move. Ekin explained that his manager Lam Shan Shan has other work in progress. She is working to turn around the record company. Ekin admitted that in the past they had decided to have a short split, they experienced a 6 month calm down period but in the end they didn't part company. He said that even though he and Shan Shan's manager had agreed to an offer, the period to accept it had already come to an end. However Ekin noted that the spirited relationship between them still exists and they have collaborated as partners for many years.

Yesterday Ekin in his role as WWF Ocean Ambassador attended the Big Fish Count's final press conference. He called on everyone to conserve the ocean. He also called on the Government to quickly do more. He went on to say that he felt the Government was working too slowly, it was not good to wait until the fish die before taking action.

There was discussion regarding the Hong Kong Disney Park who had not yet invited BMA's next singers. Reporters asked Ekin if he was a BMA would he refuse to go in protest. Ekin said that originally a whole lot of his classmates had simultaneously invited him to go, however, if Disney is fun then i will go. Ocean Park I already want to go but I admit the new competitor will add a lot more new fun. Shan Shan speaking for BMA said that they had not received any invitation from Disney, but it was correct to go to Ocean Park.
Today the stage drama Ka Bi and the gunshot event opened in Hong Kong. The performers had invited Huang Guan Zhong (Paul) to be the music director. The soundtrack has already been recorded and will be for sale at the site. All the performers praised Paul's direction. Ekin indicated that he planned to ask Paul to create a song for him.

Ekin and Nikki attended the opening of the technology exhibition and both received certificates as ambassadors. Ekin has always been interested in technology and indicated that that when new designs come out he would casually collect them for himself or for gifts for friends. Nikki talked about fans who were making web sites for her. She noted that sometimes the official photographs from her own web site migrated to other sites. Reporters asked her if she would use the law to go after those sites. She said she would need to talk to her company, but she believed that really the sites were made in good faith by fans.

The stage drama Ya Ka Bi and the Gunshot Incident is currently playing at the Hong Kong Science and Engineering University. Ekin plays the death vengeance angel Ya Ka Bi. Although his part in the stage drama is not large, he indicated that he feels pretty good about being able to participate. This is the first stage drama he has been involved with since 1999 when he collaborated with Gigi, Jordan and Miriam in Summer Night Madness. Many of Hong Kong's actors and singers including Alex Fong, Gigi, Dong Min Li and Zheng Rong came to the stage drama to offer their support.

Yesterday Ekin attended a Canon digital camera exhibition at the APM Shopping Mall in his capacity as Canon spokesperson. The exhibition featured not only the Digital Ixus, but also the professional series of cameras. During the event Ekin carried a small puppy to take pictures, to show the "perfection" quality of camera's functions. Jerry Lam the master of ceremonies joked that the puppy was called qiqi like Gigi Ekin's girlfriend. Ekin acted like nothing was said but afterwards laughed that by Jerry was teased, however he said that though many people called her Gigi he didn't call her that.
Hong Kong is still suffering from gale force winds and heavy rain, and some areas are already experiencing mudslides and flooding. Ekin said that even his home was affected. He indicated that the roof of his home was leaking water and so he has had to put many water buckets to catch it. However because during the last few days he has been busy with the stage drama he has not had time to figure out what is wrong. A few days ago his security alarm system sounded. He at first thought that a thief had entered the house. However the high winds had blown a large tree in his garden and caused it to tilt against the outside wall of his home. The trunk of the tree caused the alarm to sound. Ekin said that he would have to wait until the rain stopped and the weather cleared up before dealing with repairs, however he believed that they will probably cost a lot of money. He also said that other houses in the neighborhood had the same problem. Reporters asked if he had helped Gigi with her house. Ekin said that he had enough problems with his own house.

Ekin was in Shanghai to perform in a concert sponsored by Yepp at the Rainbow Stadium. During the concert Alive, lead by Daniel Wu, Ekin and another band together jammed a song. Ekin also performed some of his classic songs. After the first song he took off his jacket wearing only a white sleeveless t-shirt. His tanned skin and rippling muscles caused sighs among the audience. Ekin said that singing together with Alive was most interesting, they are all friends and very serious on the stage we all bring different elements and this one night we are able to stand together and become a group.
Reporters also wanted to ask Ekin about the rumors that there were problems between himself and Gigi. Ekin immediately responded that he didn't have any feelings problems and he was not prepared to discuss it. reporters then wanted to know whether he would invite Gigi to participate in his next album. Ekin denied that he had asked her and said that if he did invite her then definitely would let her know first.
