Last night the actors of 6 Heroic Men were the guests on Jade Solid Gold at Television City together with Jay Chou, Nan Quan Ma Ma and Jade Kwan. A Dan and Vivian Chow were the hosts. Andy Hui, Ekin and Candy Lo performed together a medley of songs including the movie theme song. Andy has already participated in singing it in performance three times. It has been said that the radio exposure rate already exceeded Hacken Lee. Andy laughed and said that he was not yet exploded on the scene, but hoped he would be able to one day. Right after the performance Jay Chou immediately left for Taiwan.

A few days ago the movie Divergence wrapped up filming. The main actors are Ekin, Aaron Kwok, Daniel Wu, Luo Jia Liang and Angelica Lee. After filming they immediately left for a celebration. At the celebration the actors smeared each other with cake. Poor Angelica suffered the most as the cake was smeared all over her chest. Then the others with "concerned love" splashed water to wet her.
It is reported that the director has prohibited any leaking of the story or publishing of pictures until the movie is released into theaters. As to the award obtained by Heroic Duo, Benny Chan hoped that he would be able to celebrate with both Ekin and Leon Lai. But when he mentioned it he became a cake target. He laughed and said he was probably too serious on the set and this was their revenge.
The Olympic sensation Liu Xiang named Ekin his idol. Since returning from the Olympics he has been offered a record contract. Ekin said it is fine to sing, but perhaps should just make an EP. However he should not let it affect his training. At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, again he should persevere and win several gold medals.

Reporters were extremely persistent at the Divergence end of filming banquet celebration a few days ago, to try to get some tidbits of information concerning the characters and the plot. Representatives of Universal told reporters that to preserve the mystery of the drama the director had prohibited any scene shots and plot lines until the official web site and trailers were released. But reporters over and over again persisted and little by little more details were forthcoming.
Ekin plays a famous attorney who specializes in helping wealthy scoundrels, and finds his conscience troubles him. Ekin said that working with Benny Chan directing made him very happy, although the continuous rain of the last 5 days of filming made it very exhausting, but fortunately can film this kind of role in small parts. Benny Chan had talked to Ekin about going to the China awards where Heroic Duo will win an award. Unfortunately Ekin was too busy to attend, having already agreed to go to Malaysia to promote 6 Heroic Men.
Daniel Wu plays the part of a killer. He said that he wasn't sure exactly how the director wanted him to play the role, like how tough and terrible was he to be. It was a very challenging role.
Angelica Houston suffered tragically at the celebration with a surprise attack with cake smeared all over her. She said that on the set the men all resembled earnest teachers to help her, but now they are having fun and resemble big children. However she said she was happy to have collaborated with them. Although Angelica is not married in the movie she plays the part of a young mother with two small children. Recently a number of magazines have taken pictures of her with a small child. Angelica said that this child was her friend and not hers. However one day she hoped to have a child of her own.

Yesterday, Ekin as the spokesperson for Seiko watches, attended an event in Taiwan to use the sport model watch, which he said matched his own image. He was at what is claimed to be the highest indoor climbing wall in S.E. Asia. He had already climbed the wall twice before but had not managed to reach the top, so this time he was even more nervous. Ekin wore good rock climbing shoes and good equipment. Everyone was quiet while he climbed but when he reached the summit there was much applause. By that time he had returned to the ground, he smiled and said that in fact standing at the summit he was still a bit afraid, however his coach was at one side and then he felt less afraid. Usually he just likes sports, he has developed the nerve to rock climb and now it is not a problem. However his favorite sport is to drive his boat on smooth water, and to go diving. As to rock climbing, because you need to have another person nearby, again his friends mostly don't like it, so he doesn't have a person to climb with, and so almost he doesn't go to attempt.
Reporters asked why he doesn't ask Gigi to be his partner? Ekin quickly said that she cannot get sunburned. He said that occasionally when they are home at the same time they together ride bicycles, however it is limited to the evening, because of course she cannot get a sunburn.

The box office receipts for 6 Heroic Men after 4 days is $4 Million and places the movie first. The Movie Company organized a celebration feast at the Kowloon Bay International Exhibition Center. Ekin, Hacken Lee, Chapman To, Andy Hui, Candy Lo and Kerena Lam togetrher with the director attended the event. The actors were happy about the film's achievement and danced the Cha Cha to celebrate.
Many of Ekin's fans brought their children with them, many of them asked Ekin whem he would get married and have children. When Ekin was in Taiwan recently the press noted that his Mandarin was much improved.

Ekin, Jordan, Boyz, Twins, Yumiko, Cookies and a number of other stars attended an RTHK event. After the event Ekin left for England to take part in a music exchange with foreign singers. He will also film an advertisment while he is there. He is taking his own and Jordan's songs to share. Reporters asked why he wasn't taking Gigi's songs. He said that he need not because there was already a singer attending who would share her songs. Ekin said that he realized he would be on an airplane on September 11, he said it made him a little anxious, but he joked and said he would sleep on the plane so if he was to die it would be unlikely he would know.
In other news, the movie Leave Me Alone recently suceeded in being entered at the Tokyo Film Festival and also contends for the Asia grand prize with a lot of other heroic movies. Ekin and Charlene were both delighted. Charlene hoped that the director would invite them to Thailand to celebrate. Ekin pointed to the fact that Heroic Duo had won the outstanding film award at the China film awards was most encouraging. Now this new film also brings good news. That the movie is entered in the Tokyo Film Festival makes him very happy.

Last evening was the Star Choice, annual big charity party performance. The performances have in past years raised as much as $10 milion. Each star gave their best in performance. Ekin was in the company of Jacky Cheung, Jeff Zhang, Alex To, Gloria Yip, Hacken Lee, Andy Hui, Leo Ku, Twins, Boyz and Cookies as well as many of the older generation stars.
There was some upset about the advertisments for the perfomance as they seemed to have been contradictory. Most of the stars declined to talk about it. Everyone was full of praise for each other's perfomances and hoped that a good amount would be raised.
Many of the singers performed twice, but Ekin only came out once. He participated in a stage drama with Joey Yeung, and a number of dancers. He wore a white shirt, jeans and and a long black overcoat and carried a feather mask. He sang " Don't Let Me See Him".
Ekin had just returned from England to participate in the event. Because of the time difference he was still somewhat jet-lagged. Ekin said he had made a lot of aquisitions during his trip, including many jackets and silver chains etc. He told of the difficulties he encountered on the journey, and indicated that he had felt like a refugee. He mentioned that the day he left for England the flight was delayed in Hong Kong for 2 hours, which already caused him some anxiety. On arrival the luggage was not where they expected and all passengers had to walk to another place. He also said he suffered extensive questioning by customs officials. However, Shan Shan was even more miserable as they questioned her for as long as 25 minutes.

Ekin and Jordan once again are collaborating on a picture. It has been 10 years since they last collaborated on the Young and Dangerous series. This time they were filming at a youth center site where you can play badminton. Ekin indicated that although it has been 10 years they still have a silent contract and he hoped that young people would understand. Ekin also indicated that they were not the kind of friends who often saw each other, in fact is likely that they forget the other's phone number, but this kind of get along friendship is OK.
Ekin said that it has been a long time since he played badminton, but he is lucky as was born with an affinity for sports, like playing badminton, riding a bicycle or rock climbing. Jordan at once said that he preferred to kick a soccer ball.
Their good friend Jerry Lam is once again a father. Ekin said that he heard about the birth of Jerry's second son from Shan Shan, but because he has to begin work it will be a few days before he has sufficient leisure time to go to the hospital to see the baby. Yesterday Jordan was performing in Chengdu so he too as yet has been unable to visit Jerry to see the baby.

Ekin and Hacken attended the month long Shatin Live in Peace dress rehearsal and worship the gods ceremony. When Ekin arrived he noisily shouted to find Hacken. When he found him he teased him for missing a mutual dinner date a few days ago. hacken said that Ekin had done the same thing in the past so they were quits.
Hacken insisted on singing on the radio even though his throat was sore. He talked about how currently radio stations always wanted singers to perform on the air. While he acknowledged that it was a strength for singers to be able to sing on the air, he felt also needed to acknowledge that sometimes singers feel unwell, or the acoustic equipmement can be wrong, this can cause the singer to fail their standard. Unfortunately then people remember and it becomes a topic of talk.
After the rehearsal Hacken intended to return home with his girlfriend and family to celebrate Mid Autumn Festival. Ekin, however, was likely to go to his neighbor Liu Wei Qiang's house for a barbeque and to enjoy looking at the moon.

Ekin last night participated in a Mid Autumn Festival performance together with Hacken Lee, Leon Lai, and Jerry Yan. In order not to fight with the holiday traffic, he took Hacken Lee's advice and stayed in a hotel in Shatin before the performance. Ekin said that a hotel room was only a few hundred dollars and was worth the inconvenience of being in a traffic jam. He also predicted that after the performance there would be a lot of traffic so he intended to return to the hotel to escape it.
Ekin also indicated that he would like to go to the moon. It would cost a lot of money so he will have to work hard to save. He hoped that family members and his girlfriend would go too.
