Within the last few days Ekin was interviewed by a Cat Life magazine. He spent time playing with a small kitten. Ekin explained that he had two cats at home. Usually his favorite thing to do is to carry the cats outside in the evening and take them for a walk. Reporters didn't know if he had taken the kitten for a walk or not. The interview is in the February issue of the magazine.

The movie company in the early evening at Tong Liu Wan held the premiere ceremony for the new movie Protege de la Rose Noire. Ekin, The Twins and the rest of the cast attended. Ekin put on his Luo Bin cape to model it for reporters. Reporters asked Ekin if the filming process had been embarrassing. Ekin said he wore two pair of trousers. Reporters pointed to the fact that they were revealing. Ekin explained that if he revealed his upper body everyone would accept it. Also if it was a European Art Film also everyone would accept it.

Reporters also asked how he felt about being last year's named box office poison. Ekin said he thought the magazine stretched things a little bit. This year he plans to spend time in producing a cd.

Miriam Yeung invited Ekin to be the one of the guests at her concert in Hong Kong on Saturday. They reportedly sang together the duet from Anna in KungFu Land. Ekin also sang Feeling of a Kiss.

Ekin and the rest of the cast of Protege de la Rose Noire attended a celebratory banquet. Ekin earlier attended the movie premiere. Reporters wanted to know about the approaching Valentines Day and how Ekin planned to celebrate with his girlfriend Gigi Leung. Ekin explained that on that day Gigi would not be in Hong Kong so they would not be able to celebrate together. He also has no plans to buy flowers as it is not fashionable, but he would be able to select a gift for her. Reporters asked if it would be a ring. Ekin smiled and pointed to the current economy just recovering, and so shouldn't frivolously spend money. He also explain that every Valentine's Day you don't have to give a gift because he thinks not necessarily want particular day to give a gift. He was asked if there was any unforgettable Valentine's Day. He remembered the first year after their relationship was official Valentine's Day, outside his door were lots of reporters pursued him to ask questions, he believes this year unlikely to have this kind of situation.

Ekin recently watched a Thai movie Fist Tyrant he very much enjoyed the lead actors real KungFu skill. Ekin very much misses filming action roles. Although he learned martial arts he feels not sufficient 20 years, but he is able to work hard to practice. Ekin laughed and said he hopes he can make Hong Kong Fist Tyrant 2005 because action films can go out of Asia. He was asked if before when he watched action films did the movie plots deceive. Ekin is not afraid to mention that when he was young his mother forbade him to watch action movies, but have one time seen a superman movie, he imitated from on the bed fly, but he fall to the ground, as a result bump into the clothes machine immediately nasty cut on his leg. He described that he almost died of the pain, but he knew his mother would give him much criticism, so he always endured the pain.

Last night Ekin attended the retirement celebration banquet for Xiao Sheng Shu, who at 70 years old has collaborated with actors and actresses for many years in radio dramas. Andy Lau could not attend but he sent a caligraphy which said " You are a giant star because you create."

Andy Lau and Ekin's first radio drama performance was with Xiao Sheng Shu, although it was many years ago, they explained that it is still fresh in their memory. They all hope that after retirement he will continue to be healthy and have time to rest.

Later Ekin attended Jordan Chan's concert.

Today Ekin in his role of ambassador for the Educate Children Fund was the special guest at the closing ceremony of a sponsored walk for children event. Ekin did not participate in the walk but he did have his assistant seek to sponsor some walkers. He also gave a camera as a prize gift.

Ekin enjoys to walk, especially in the mountains, however his work is sometimes very busy. Then he has to rely on a treadmill for exercise. Reporters asked him if his girlfriend liked to walk in the mountains with him. Ekin said that she was also very busy with work, but if she had time she may keep him company, but mostly he walked with colleagues.

Ekin also indicated that at this moment he had not signed with another record company. He explained that it would be at least April before he could announce any plans. He said that he had to consider carefully and think over the degree of freedom available to him. Reporters asked if he was likely to sign with the same company as Gigi. Ekin was very clear that this was not an option.
