Yesterday Ekin and Leon were filming a gun battle for the movie "Two Heroes" outside a large residential building. The director wanted early morning light so the filming began very early. The noise of the gun battle caused a serious disturbance and residents called the police. When the police arrived the filming had to stop while they investigated the complaints.

The movie company representative immediately produced the filming permit and also proof that they had permission from the owner of the building to film there. The police accepted the permits and allowed filming to continue.

Ekin said that all he knew was that people had filed a complaint. They heard the 'bang bang' when we film the gun battle. It sounds very noisy, right! The mistake means that the filming isn't finished.

Ekin's latest movie is "Two Heroes" He plays a law enforcement officer who is trying to solve a very mysterious case. Leon Li-Ming plays a famous murderer who has been sentenced to many years in jail. Ekin goes to visit him to ask for help in solving the case. There are parts of the movie that are suggestive of the Hollywood movie "Silence of the Lambs".

However it is distinguished by use of a hypnotist and the police team headed by Ekin. The drama emphasizes the reason for the murder. At first Leon Li- Ming is reluctant to help because he wants to negotiate a release from jail. Ekin is not convinced and used psychology to interrogate him. After the two of them pass through many rounds of struggle Li-Ming finally cooperates and helps Ekin to solve the crime

Ekin, Leon Li- Ming, Wu Zhen-Yu and Karina Lau all star in Chen Mu Sheng's latest movie Two Heroes. Last night a road was closed to film a car chase. Many people turned out to watch the action.

Ekin arrived dressed very casually he used a vehicle as a screen to change his shirt and pants for the movie. It took a lot of time to set up the action for the set, Ekin often spends the time reading over the script and also talking with some of the people who are working on the set.

Ekin ordered a lunch box dinner from a nearby restaurant. He ate the take out standing near a trash barrel. He was asked if he was afraid of catching germs and he said that he wasn't afraid at all.

Director Chen Mu Sheng is very good a movie explosions. Ekin had talked to the director and told him that he could drive the car for the stunt himself. Cheng Mu Sheng was very pleased Ekin agreed to drive the car, he said it meant he only had to pay half the amount for insurance.

Ekin and Josie Ho went to Thailand for 7 days to finish filming the summer blockbuster movie Twins Effect. In the movie both have to fight many vampires gorging in a train station the ensuing battle the body count is in the hundreds. This time the powerful Count grabs Reeve.

In this scene both actors have to perform high jumps so they need to suspend their fear to make the jump. Ekin made the jump many times before he and the director were satisfied.

Josie Ho had to run along the top of the train with the large sword. She said that was also very scary.

The Count is a very powerful vampire. So that Reeve can be powerful enough to have a chance to slay him he must also become a partial vampire. Sometimes he is unable to control his vampiric nature and attacks the people around him.

In one scene he attacks Gypsy who is his partner. She has to use the sword to fend him off.

With all the biting in the movie, the director and the actors worry about germs and SARS. To keep everyone safe the actors wash regularly and the fake fangs are sterilized every time they are used.

This evening Ekin attended the opening of his friend Eric Tsang's restaurant The Hot Pot Restaurant. At the restaurant he conferred with a master oracle who read cards for him. She forecast that between Ekin and his girl friend Gigi there appears a third person. When Ekin heard this he immediately wanted to know the name as he had fear in his heart. Afterwards, Angel, the oracle, explained that the third person may merely be a pet.

Ekin as a police officer has many action scenes in the movie Two Heroes. He considers this very seriously as it is difficult to do well. He studies the script and practices to become familiar with the action.

Recently while filming Ekin needed to make jumps between separate tall buildings. He had to jump from a building of 13 stories to one of 14 stories to one of 15 stories. Lion dancers showed him how to do this by using a step on jump board. During filming the jump board unexpectedly broke, immediately Ekin was transfixed with fear. Fortunately, because he was afraid he had a rope tied to him. Afterwards he realized he had hurt himself, the finger on his right hand had shifted position and was very inflamed.

Ekin said, filming action scenes can really be disastrous, there was just a little confusion but immediately one hand manage to bump against a wall. It swelled up. I am a man right! But even so I suffer from the injury. A complete day I already must spend filming before I can get enough leisure time to be able to go to the doctor.
Today he tried out a new cable system from America. Ekin explained that it seems to help suspend his fear. The cable allows a gentle yet not forced landing. Before he films again he plans to leave a good distance between him and the wall.

Ekin likes to organize a relaxed atmosphere, but because this is the first time he collabrate with director Chen Mu Sheng he has to explain his needs. During one action sequence the director suddenly seem like a monster and there is this invisible pressure over the entire film crew. However his acting girlfriend Karina said that Ekin usually consent not to have a depressed atmosphere and often chooses to make everyone laugh.

While Ekin, Leon and the rest of the cast met early in the morning to film a serious explosion scene. A reporter used a flash to take photographs. Unfortunately, the flash caused a shadow to appear on the film. This meant that there was no choice but to repeat the filming. The company said that the damage was $100,000HK and next month would repeat the filming. Chen Mu Sheng became very stressed, but felt that the reporter was probably not very experienced and perhaps just tried to get a picture.

Ekin said that there is a method to filming such scenes and there will be no choice but to do it again so will have to work hard to coordinate it.

Ekin is filming a fight sequence despite the injury to the base of his finger, but he is very professsional and so continues to work.

Earlier it was reported that Ekin and Leon were not on the best of terms, but reporters who have seen them in scenes together emphasized that occasionally they have a laugh. However, when filming their feelings must be right to complete the scene. They both are anxious to get the correct feeling. The director organizes the everything for the shoot. The male stars are under much pressure to collaborate on the scene.

Ekin said "At the end of the day we are the same, together we share the experience." He was also asked why he usually leans so close to Leon. He replied, " Maybe you are worried about SARS but at the same time this is my work."
