Ekin had a gathering with his Japanese fans today. He was in Tokyo to help promote the Japanese drama, which will air on Japanese TV on September 4th. Japanese fans of all ages came to see Ekin, there were grandparents and children at the gathering. Ekin took time to speak to some of the children. About 400 fans came to see him.

Ekin said that he would be happy to establish his career more in Japan. He said that a fortune teller already told him that his career would be good in Japan. He said if this was true he would cherish the chance.

In the drama, ekin sings the song "Together". He took the chance to sing it again in a small mini-concert. Ekin was interviewed together with the production staff. Sam Chow was Ekin's interpreter.

Ekin said that the reporters in Hong Kong were so pasionate that they scared the Japanese actresses. He also said that the Director had been very demanding, and there were no breaks until shooting was finished and to the directors satisfaction. Ekin said that one of his friends was a big fan of Hiroko Yakushimura and he had given Ekin a picture of her. Ekin had the picture in his wallet.

After the interview Ekin had prizes for the fans to win if they could answer questions about him. Some of the questions were:

What kind of pet does Ekin keep?

What animal did he have for his birth year?

For prizes Ekin had two framed autographed posters from his Japanese Tour. He also had travel size JS products and a huge JS poster.

Ekin has been asked by the Government to be the official Ocean Environment spokesperson. He is happy to be asked. Ekin said that he feels good that his diving skills will help him to be an effective spokesperson. Ekin attended a press conference at the Ex Governor's House. The Chief Secretary of HKSAR, Anthony Tsang presented the appointment letter to Ekin. The World Wildlife Fund also asked Ekin to be their spokesperson with a special interest in the ocean.

Ekin also has a junior license to drive a boat. He would like to study more to get a senior license. Then he would be able to drive a boat alone.

Dear Members,

I haven't written to you for quite a long time. I have many things to talk to you but don't know where I should start?..

I would like to talk about my working schedule first, but I think all of you should know my schedule pretty well; better than myself. I suddenly recall that many of my works these days were related to charity and I would like to share my feelings with you.

Did you notice that I participate in many charity activities with the Fan Club recently? We are lucky to live in such a modern and wealthy city, but have you thought about those people who are still suffering in poverty and sickness in developing countries? Who would like to live in such conditions?

In the past, I wanted to give up when I encountered difficulties and barriers in my career. But when I compared myself with those poor people, their roads are much more difficult than mine. They never give up, but work harder to cope with the difficulties. Therefore, I hope that all of you can support those people as you support me, and participate in more charity activities. And I would like you to donate money, which you are wanting to use for buying gifts for me, to those poor people.

"Giving Rather Than Receiving?", I hope you understand the meaning of it. Many unlucky people are waiting for our helping hands. If we can do it, why not? Since our support can help them to cope with their difficulties, we should generously help each of them, so that they can share the happiness. If you can do it, that would be the best way to support me?

Ekin was interviewed about his new roles as spokesperson for the Ocean and The World Wildlife Fund. Ekin has made a dive recently in Hong Kong which was filmed. The video will be shown on many buses in Hong Kong.

Ekin also told reporters that he was locked out of his home because his hands had been scratched by the coral. His house has a fingerprint lock, which he installed for the convenience of his parents. Unfortunately, the lock is very sensitive and the injury to his hands caused it to fail to trigger.

A retina scan was suggested to him, but Ekin is reluctant to trust the new technology and is thinking he will reinstall regular locks.

Ekin took part in the Japanese Festival in Hong Kong. He was interviewed by reporters about how celebrities could help the tourist Industries.

Ekin said that he was probably the best person to promote Sai King because he lived there. He suggested that Jackie Chan greet tourists at the airport and that Chow Yun Fat promote Lamma Island as that is where he was born.

Reporters also asked Ekin to comment about the employment opportunities in Hong Kong as many students are unable to find work after graduation.

Ekin said that he had worked in a number of places after he graduated, an office, Mc Donalds and a hotel. He said he had wanted to take a cooking course when he worked at the hotel, but because of his good looking face they said he had to be a bellhop.

Not long after that he was invited to make a comercial, and then joined the acting course at TVB.

Ekin attended a WWF activity at Pacific Place. Ekin hung fish on a coral tree with other representatives of the World Wildlife Fund. The Coral Tree will represent the more than 50 kinds of coral found in HK. A coral park is to be established in Hoi Ha Wan near Sai Kung.

Well, it is a very busy day today for myself, I should have got a presentation this afternoon and miss out Ekin's WWF opening function, however, lucky me, the professor cancel the presentation today so I left Poly U around 2:30p.m, which means I was late.........hahahaha!

I arrived at around 2:45p.m, Shan Shan said to me they (Ekin etc.) arrived 10 mins before me. My friend was coming. Shan Shan was so nice to me, she took me into the opening. She asked me to follow her around so no-one will kick me out. Shan Shan asked Ekin to say hello with me, he gave me a "UN-WARM UP" smile. All the way, I talked with Ekin about his movie, diving, my new hair cut, his English and also the Japan tour etc.

Ekin really needs time to warm up himself ga.....hahahahaaha! There was only 2 fans appear today, maybe is because the day and time is not good.

Ekin stayed for a few TV Channel's interviews and reporter's interview.

Ekin mention that he don't mind he will get less pay for movie if the movie story is good enough.

Then Shan Shan said "all the people last name is Cheng, is easy to talk to ga la.........like Ekin and Sammi, Sammi also said she don't mind how much she will get pay if the story is good..............."

Ekin also said he finished record a new song for his singing teacher Roman, he is going to sing one of the Roman's song called "FAMILYSHIP" (hahaha....I made up this word myself ga...hahahaha)in the CD.

Ekin also will start a new movie on October, but Shan Shan said she don't know the name of the new movie yet, will let you all know as soon as I know la.

At the end of the function, Ekin asked, "Am I fat?" we said no ah....then he asked again "Am I too thin now?" we also said no ah.....then he was very happy.

Ekin also talked with a few English people from WWF, well....great....we have a chance to hear Ekin speak English la........BUT.......one of the English person know Cantonese very well and he spoke Cantonese with Ekin all the way. Ekin was very lucky.........however, we heard Ekin said "Oh Yeah....." "Of course...." "That's great......" something like that la.

Hahhahahaa Ekin was very funny and happy...ha!

I said to Ekin " Ekin, now you are very good in English la, you should sing a English song on 1st October's party to us la."

Then Ekin said "I didn't say I am good ah...."

We both heard him said "yeah....of course..........sure etc." Hahahahaha!

There is too many little things happening today in this fuction, is hard to type it all out. It's a long function. I guess Ekin and the others stayed for one and a half hours.

We had more chance to talk to him, Shan Shan, Presey, his hair stylist etc.

At the end, when Ekin was leaving, many people from outside was asking Ekin to sign this and sign that. Ekin stopped a few times to sign for them, there were also 2 Japanese girls as well.

It was a fun day, BUT I miss out my lesson lor......hehehehe!

Recently Ekin made a motorbike comercial in Guangzhou. He was asked to do the comercial because of his Movie "Legend of Speed". The new Miss Asia also made the commercial with him.

Ekin tried to take good care of her because she had never made a commercial before.

It was reported that he was paid more than $1 million HK for the commercial.

Ekin's latest movie "My Wife is 18" will open in Hong Kong theaters next week.

To promote the movie, Ekin, the Director and some of the other cast members presided over an "Underaged Wife" competition.

All the girls who participated were under 12 years of age. The girls had to introduce themelves, perform for the judges, answer questions and also take a photograph with Ekin.

The judges chose which girl they thought would be the best match for Ekin. The winner got to kiss Ekin on the cheek.

The song for the movie is sung by Stephanie Yuen, but both Ekin and Charlene put spoken voice over the song.

Ekin wore a yellow T-shirt with a "hotdog" logo, and black jeans
