Ekin was in Thailand this past week filming on location for his latest movie " The Twins Effect". He said that there were many mosquitos and so he needed to wear long sleeves and pants even though it was hot.

On his return Ekin recorded the 2003 TVB TV Series Preview Show. Ekin has appeared in the preview show every year for the last three years. He did not appear in any TV Series in the last three years.

Ekin said that he still does not know whether he will make a TV Series in 2003.

November 17, 2002

Ekin attended a radio function with actor Dicky Cheung. The radio was giving a graduation ceremony for children who had completed a journalism course sponsored by the radio. Ekin and Dicky presented the certificates to the children.

It was reported recently that Ekin's role in The Twins Effect.was supposed to be played by Nic Tse. Shan Shan told reporters that it was possible that Nic went to the casting for the movie, however, Ekin had been working on the proposal for this movie for a long time. He chose to do the movie because both the role and the pay was good.

Shan Shan was also asked if she planned to sell Ekin's contract to EEG. Shan Shan denied this rumor and said she had no plans to sell Ekin's contract.

November 18, 2002

Yu Chiu has launched her first album " Impatient Love". Ekin is the male lead in the MTV video that accompanies the album.

At the 39th Golden Horse Awards in Taiwan the movie "Running Out of Time 2" Starring Cheng Yee-Kin won two awards.

It won Best Movie Editing and Best Action Display.

Ekin was not present at the awards but commented that he was pleased that the movie won.

November 19, 2002

Ekin participated in another World Wildlife Promotion. This time it was in a redwood forest at Hoi Ha Wan. Ekin touched the leaves of a plant that was growing there. The instructor jokingly told Ekin that the leaves were poisonous and he would probably die soon. Ekin was worried because he believed the instructor. Later the instructor admitted that he was not telling the truth.

November 21, 2002

Ekin and Gigi were seen going to the coffee shop of The Penninsula Hotel at around 6pm.

Later they went shopping and went to Cartier, an upscale jewelry store. When they noticed that reporters were taking photos through the window, they informed the store management. The store was locked and Security guards came over and stayed outside the entrance.

Ekin and Gigi stayed in the store for about another 10 minutes before leaving through a back exit.

Ekin, Louis Koo, and Eason Chan took part in a concert in Tokyo today. The concert was part of the New Wave Hong Kong Festival aimed at promoting Hong Kong as a destination to the Japanese.

At the press conference before the concert Ekin said that Sai Kung was a beautiful place to visit. He was of course biased because he lives there. He also said he was planning to get a sailing boat license, and people may see him sailing in Sai Kung in the future.

Ekin also talked about his fellow performers. He said that he thought that Louis was an excellent actor and that Eason sang very well. He mentioned that Eason was not very thin, but Eason said he doesn't ingtend to loose weight.

Ekin's long time friend Jerry Lam, Shan Shan's brother, also performed at the concert. Ekin said that he and Jerry celebrated his birthday together in Japan

Ekin is the most well known of the three celebrities in Japan as he has already appeared in a Japanese drama, in which he played himself.

At the concert Ekin sang 5 or 6 songs, including his teacher Roman's famous song. He sang this song in Cantonese and Japanese. Ekin said that he had to practice to be able to sing the song in Japanese. He sang together with Louis and Eason also.

More than 2,000 people attended the concert, consequently security was very tight.
