Occasionally you can hear
Ekin say that he hasn't sung in a long time. Asked him whether this two year
pause causes him to feel regret.
EKIN:
Of course I have regrets, had a good image but this piece of my career suddenly stopped. I have to ask myself at what point did this happen? I feel it was when I broke up with my girlfriend. If things could have been peaceably resolved, maybe everything would have been OK, but I suppose we ceased to be lovers. My mood at this time became like suffering.
Regarding the end to this suffering, Ekin laughed.
EKIN:
It corresponds to when he was able to have a manager to organize things. OK, I do hope this year I can produce an album.
Just
now we pass by the Fan Club gathering. This is important to Ekin as it helps
him to know if the sound it still good. The day before he opened the show he
trained and practiced all day.
EKIN:
It's good to endure this way. I have to sing in front of them. First I sing many songs. I hope that I sing well. Everyone will then feel that I am the same. Moreover, my fans give me my strength. You need to deliver a little gift to keep them trusting in me. Their purpose is to persuade me to perform, they don't hide their attitudes. Their enthusiasm always makes me very touched and moved.
Work just isn't the same
these days. Ekin seized the opportunity to learn English, work on his Mandarin,
which is average, rockclimb, scuba dive and drive a boat.
EKIN:
I think that to study directly is a good challenge. Being out in nature has a satisfying feeling. I can better myself and that makes me happy.
Learning these activities has given Ekin the ability to use these skills to help to raise funds for charity. After learning to dive he has become the World Wildlife Fund's Hong Kong Amabassador for the Ocean. Ekin said that this gave an unexpected meaning to the things he worked hard to learn.

Ekin
and his partner prepare to climb the rock.
Ekin
comes and goes across the rocks with bare feet. Asked him whether or not it
hurt his feet.
"Alarm! feet don't matter."
He works with his coach to ensure that all the equipment is properly installed,
befor the coach approves the start of the climb.
Ekin
made a comparatively easy choice to climb the rock. His partner's choice of
route more difficult. Ekin waits for his partner to climb to the same place.
Learning
to climb rocks is realized through experience. Ekin explained that a climb like
this tests determination and strength of movement to make a good climb.
Ekin may not have sung but his movie career hasn't stopped. The ticket sales for My Wife Is 18 acknowledged that. Spurred by that success had led him to go on to make another comedy.
EKIN:
When I make comedy it makes audiences see another side to me. It lets me give people a fresh new feeling. Besides, a number if people have said that I perform better if not always the same character. Therefore this year I have been able to accept many different types of movies. It's good. I have just completed The Twin's Effect with an appearance of film fighting. Also Floating Landscape and Dream Girlfriend. At home I have to urgently read many movie scripts. I hope that I can make a good breakthrough.
Leo
Koo and Ekin have known each other since working on the children's program Space
Shuttle 430. Tam Yuk Ying worked with Ekin oin a TV drama and they became good
friends. Ekin brought red wine so that they could remember old times, but Leo
prefered to drink orange juice. Tam Yuk Ying is very careful and so she drank
pure water only. Caused Ekin to be the only one to drink the wine.
Other
friends Huang Li Wen and Wang Zi Ling also collaborated with Ekin and Leo on
Space Shuttle 430. Together they went to a restaurant for a beef meal. Ekin
values their meeting as they are long time aquaintances. He also knows that
they will be moving to London soon to study medicine.
Just
before everyone left, Ekin asked his manager Lam Shan Shan to play the photographer.
He wanted to take photographs to keep as a momento.
Ekin is remembered by his
friends as a very strong and passionate person. Even though they haven't worked
together recently people still know and recognize him. Ekin, even though he
hasn't met them for a number of years his memories are of the good in people.
EKIN:
Once you meet and know a person an impression enters your brain. Such good impressions aren't easily forgotten. I remember peoples good nature and their mistakes, because in life everyone needs friends. I feel good frineds are important, and I cherish such warmth. I always try as hard as I can to accept a person and search for a shared conversation topic. I try to get along with everyone and often we become good friends. I am most happy when I can work in the warmth of friendship.
Ekin
visits an elderly person's home and chats with the residents.
Everone
together played a game. The old people had to sit and to move. First they could
sit to hear how to play, and then Ekin and the staff made them move.
Besides
playing games,Ekin also visited the home's computer room. Ekin watched the grandfathers
and grandmothers beat computer gamesl. He stopped long enough to watch them
win.
Some people have criticized
Ekin in the past for not understanding the passion people have for world causes.
His friends, however, feel that recently he has started to really understand
things that people are concerned about. How did this change happen?
EKIN:
I admit that before I pushed myself to work with the mindset that it will help me to become famous. The affection of friends, working for charity and even the death of my teacher Roman all helps me to better understand the feelings of others. I think these experiences have made me more mature.
Ekin and the World Wild
Life Fund's research team go out on a boat to see and observe Hong Kong's White
Dolphins. Ekin is the World Wildlife Fund Hong Kong Marine Ambassador.
The weather was not great
and there was some fear that we wouldn't find any dolphins. We were lucky eventually
little dolphins appeared The dolphins circled the boat and the invited movie
team shot a movie to record their actions.

Ekin
and his riding partners arrive. In
the parking lot Ekin puts the wheel onto his bicycle.
Ekin
and his team check the route to ensure that there are no surprise blockages
in the road.
Out
on the bay, Ekin concentrates on the coral that they will lead people down to
see. After the boat they return to their bicycles and pedal to complest the
circuit.
